Half of the fun of travelling is the trip getting there, and the 2012 Thor Four Winds Siesta Sprinter Class C Motorhome lets you really enjoy the open road. With distinctive European-inspired styling inside and elegant full body paint exteriors, the Siesta Sprinter helps you reduce fuel costs without limiting luxury.

The Four Winds Siesta Sprinter only comes in two models, so we’ll be taking a look at the 24SA. It has a wheelbase of 170.3”, an exterior length of 24’6”, an exterior height of 10’10”, an exterior width of 90”, an interior height of 80” and an exterior storage capacity of 50 cubic feet. The 24SA has a GVWR of 11,030 lbs and a GCWR of 15,250 lbs. In terms of water, it has a fresh-water capacity of 40 gallons, a black-water capacity of 38 gallons, a gray-water capacity of 34 gallons and a 6-gallon water heater. As well, it comes with a 25,000 BTU furnace and a 13,500 BTU low-profile air conditioner.

Built on a Sprinter chassis, the Siesta is powered by a 3.0L V6, 188HP turbo diesel engine. This Class C motorhome is built right – it is constructed with a fully welded tubular aluminum floor system with Tek-Moto floor decking, fully welded tubular aluminum roof and sidewall cage construction, and Vacu-Bond laminated roof, walls and floors with high-density block foam insulation. Giving it a smooth appearance are slick fiberglass exterior sidewalls, one-piece fiberglass front and rear caps and stylish graphics.

Other exterior features include seamless roto-cast storage compartments, manual patio awning, slide-out room awning, roof ladder, automatic electric entrance step, and outside shower.

The Siesta Sprinter also comes with a host of electrical and plumbing equipment that makes life on the road much more pleasant. Features such as an Onan 3.6 LP generator, 30-amp service with shore line power cord, automatic shoreline-to-generator transfer switch and a water heater bypass system will come in handy when you’re roughing it. For your safety, this Thor Class C motorhome is outfitted with an entry door deadbolt lock, systems control center, passenger seatbelts (in select areas), smoke, LPG, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire extinguisher.

One of the first things you’ll notice about the Four Winds Siesta Sprinter is how much head room there is. That’s because it has an 80″ interior ceiling height. You’ll appreciate how the little things make a big difference – an electric Euro-skylight, fluorescent ceiling lighting, soft touch vinyl ceiling and night shades aren’t things you usually think about, but are nice finishing touches. The European-style curved Cherry cabinetry comes with hidden hinges and brushed nickel finish hardware, and on the floor you’ll find residential linoleum, making it easy to clean up after messy campers.

The cab area comes equipped with black leatherette driver and passenger captain’s chairs, equipped with three-point seat belts and air bags. The trip won’t seem as long when you turn on the AM/FM dash radio with oversized buttons, CD player and weather band tuner, plus it’s iPod and Sirius Satellite ready. Other extras you appreciate up front include power window and door locks, keyless entry, heated remote exterior mirrors, fiberglass running boards, and back-up monitor.

When you walk into the 24SA, you’re greeted by the kitchen/living area. For relaxing or enjoying a meal, there’s a booth dinette. As well, you can choose to upgrade to a leatherette hide-a-bed sofa with air mattress and pedestal table, if you plan on having overnight guests. And you can catch your favorite shows on the 19″ LCD television that comes with a DVD entertainment system.

In the kitchen, you’re well equipped no matter where you roam. It comes with a double door refrigerator with stainless steel door inserts, a European two-burner high-output gas range top with glass cover, a stainless steel power range hood and a stainless steel convection microwave. Finishing up the functionality of this room are laminate countertops, full extension drawer guides and a large stainless steel single bowl sink with a goose neck faucet.

Get ready for sweet dreams – the Siesta Sprinter comes with a bedroom that will send you off to sleep. It has a queen-sized bed, covered with a bedspread and pillow shams. There are directional reading lights so you can finish off a chapter or two before going to sleep, or choose to upgrade with a 19″ LCD television.

Finally, we finish off with the bathroom, which comes with all the standard equipment – a china bowl toilet, rectangular shower with glass door, and vanity sink. As well, it comes with power bath vent and a skylight in the shower.

The 2012 Thor Four Winds Siesta Sprinter 24SA has an MSRP of $108,158. For more information, visit siesta-sprinter.com.
