Because every family is different, the Durango 1500 comes in a variety of floorplans. We’re going to be taking a closer look at the D295BH, one of the larger bunk house models. It has an unloaded vehicle weight of 7,475 lbs, a dry hitch weight of 1,325 lbs and a GVWR of 8,800 lbs. It measures in with an exterior height of 144″, an exterior width of 96″ and an exterior length of 31′ 9″. It has a fresh water capacity of 55 gallons, a waste water capacity of 32 gallons and a gray water capacity of 32 gallons. The Durango also comes with a 30,000 BTU furnace and a 15,000 BTU air conditioner.

Built using heavy duty I-beam frame construction, the D295BH boasts a fiberglass exterior with integrated luan backing, a one-piece seamless roof and a one-piece fiberglass front cap, making it more aerodynamic. Using 3/8″ decking, wood frame front and end walls, expanded polystyrene and wood truss rafters to support the roof, 1/8″ luan decorative wall board, 1/8″ luan wall board and 3″ aluminum stringer, the Durango 1500 is designed to provide your family with many years of Rving fun and memories. And if something should happen while you’re traveling, owners can also take advantage of the one-year of free roadside assistance.

Setting up camp is never a problem in the Durango 1500, thanks to power jacks and stabilizer jacks. You’ll enjoy such conveniences as heated tanks, found in the enclosed underbelly, as well as a black tank flush system. Other exterior features of note include Dexter NEV-R-ADJUST brakes, an outside shower, bus-style slam latch baggage doors, tinted windows, outside speakers and an awning with a drip rail and spouts.

You can always choose to upgrade your Durango 1500 with exterior options such as aluminum wheels, Dexter E-Z Flex heavy duty rubber suspension, a spare tire with carrier and cover, a ladder, a power awning, a partial paint package, an outside grill, a sidewinder hitch and a bike/cargo rack that lets you bring those extra items you don’t want to leave at home.

Let’s move on to the Durango 1500’s inviting interior. Available in Basil, Mink and Walnut decors and complemented by plenty of stunning cabinetry, the D295BH surrounds you in comfort and convenience. Added touches like roller ball bearing drawer guides make it easy to store and get to essentials, while wrought iron accents on the valances offer elegance. And night shades let you control light coming into your fifth wheel and give you the option of increased privacy.

When you first walk into the D295BH, you’re greeted by the open-concept living area. Outfitted with a large U-shaped dinette and a sofa (that can be upgraded to a hide-a-bed), it’s the perfect place to watch shows or movies on the 32” LCD. It also comes with an AM/FM/CD/DVD player with a USB port and is wired for satellite.

The heart of every home – and RV for that matter – is the kitchen. And it’s a good thing the D295BH’s kitchen comes fully equipped with everything needed to whip up nutritious and delicious meals and snacks. The kitchen design boasts plenty of workspace and storage features, as well as a deep basin sink with high-rise faucet. To get things cooking, you’ll find a microwave with turn table, a 6 cubic foot refrigerator with a black glass insert, range and vent hood.

One of the great things about the D295BH is its bunks that offer extra sleeping accommodations. These 32”x75” bunks are perfect for the kids or for overnight guests.

As for your sleeping arrangements, you won’t be disappointed with the master bedroom. You’ll have sweet dreams on a 60”x75” queen-sized bed that comes with an upholstered headboard. Other features include dual mirrored wardrobes and overhead cabinets.

Conveniently located adjacent to the bedroom is the spacious walk-through bath. You won’t be able to go back to outhouses after a stay in the Durango 1500 – it comes equipped with full sized shower, a vanity with lighted mirror, a linen closet, a skylight over the tub and a porcelain toilet.

If you need more amenities to add to the D295BH, you can always choose to upgrade with a countertop extension, table and chairs with a leaf, a recliner, an 8 cubic foot refrigerator, a fireplace, a Dyson vacuum, Fan-Tastic vent in the bedroom and bathroom, a 15,000 BTU air conditioner, a flip up bunk and a Katching ZZ’s mattress.
