Sleek and sporty, the Leisure Travel Unity is a European beauty that gives you the freedom to explore.

The Unity comes in five floorplans – FX, Twin Bed, Island Bed, Murphy bed and Corner Bed. Our favourite is the Corner Bed because its layout resembles a cute New York apartment.

The Unity has a gross vehicle weight rating of 11,030 lbs. It has a wheelbase of 170”, length of 25’1”, width of 7’10”, and interior height of 6’5”. For liquids, the Travel Unity has a fresh water capacity of 36 gallons, black holding tank capacity of 29 gallons, grey holding tank capacity of 37 gallons, fuel tank capacity of 26.4 gallons, and propane tank capacity of 15 gallons.

Built on a Mercedes-Benz 3500 Sprinter chassis, the Unity is the product of German engineering. Equipped with a 3L Blue TEC diesel engine, the Unity will provide you with a smooth and powerful ride that will also saves on fuel. The 2016 chassis comes with Collision Prevention Assist, High Beam Assist and Lane Keeping Assist. Steel wheels come standard, but could be upgraded to Alcoa Aluminum wheels. The steel framed floor is vacuum bonded and insulated, and the FRP Flexroof is vacuum bonded and aluminum framed. Aluminum-framed sidewalls are contoured, vacuum-bonded and topped off with gel coat fiberglass.

Shaped like a sporty RV, the Leisure Travel Unity has a full-body paint job with a clear coat and matching front bumper. Aluminum baggage doors lead to a spacious pass-through storage compartment. Integrated running boards and flares are made of fiberglass and the LED patio light can be controlled with an interior wall switch. When you’re ready to walk in, come in through the entry door, equipped with a screen and window.

When you walk in, you’re greeted by a warm space with curved solid-wood cabinetry. The vinyl flooring looks like tile and the dimmable lighting has accent LED lights. Adding warmth to the interior, a skylight brings in natural light, letting you soak in some of that Vitamin D. If don’t want light coming in, just pull down the screen and privacy shades.

The living area has a cozy booth dinette that sits beside a panoramic window. If you plan on having a lot of guests over, you can swap the dinette for a U-Lounge, which can easily fold into a bed. Whatever seating arrangement you choose, you’ll be sitting across from the entertainment center, equipped with an LED TV, DVD, CD, Bluetooth. USB and HDMI. The Unity also comes with a TV antenna on the roof. Maximizing space and storage, the Unity also has a short closet located right beside the entertainment center.

Equipped with a kitchen, you’ll feel guilty making fast food pit stops. You can rinse your veggies in the deep stainless steel sink, chop them up on the flip-up counter extension and fry them on the the-burner cooktop. The kitchen also comes with a stainless steel convection oven. You can store you condiments and dishes in the overhead cabinetry and store leftovers in the three-way fridge/freezer. Drawers have full extension ball-bearing tracks and cabinets have soft close hinges. You can keep all your cereal boxes and canned goods in the large pull out pantry.

The main bed is located in a corner of the Unity, beside the kitchen. A wooden cabinet separates the space from the galley. You can store gadgets in the overhead cabinetry and clothes in the shirt closet located beside the pantry. Across from the bed is a TV. Although it’s not a bedroom, it still feels like a very private space, separated from the rest of the home.

The washroom is located beside the bed. It’s a small space, but it has the essentials for grooming and washing up. The shower has a grab handle, door and skylight, and the China toilet has a foot flush and sprayer. The sink sits below a mirrored medicine cabinet and the power bath vent keeps the air fresh.

Last but not least, is the cockpit – it’s the most important room of the house. Designed to make the driver as comfortable as possible, the space features Ultraleather Genuine Mercedes-Benz DS/PS seats that swivel around, and a removable carpeted floor that has a rubber backing. Exterior mirrors are heated, while power window and door locks have keyless entry. To keep you awake and entertained, there’s a Mercedez Benz in-dash AM/FM radio. The dash also comes with Navigation, Bluetooth and screen for the rear view camera.

The 2016 Leisure Travel Unity sells for around $100,000 depending on how you want to build it. Visit LeisureVans.com for more information.
