2017 American Coach American Dream 45T Review

The American Coach American Dream is your ticket to freedom. Equipped with the luxuries of a holiday home, your cross-country road trip is guaranteed to feel like a luxurious vacation.

With four floorplans to choose from, we’ve decided to explore the 45T. It has a gross vehicle weight rating of 51,000 lbs, front gross axle weight rating of 17,000 lbs, rear gross axle weight rating of 20,000 lbs and tag gross axle weight rating of 14,000 lbs. For dimensions, the American Dream 45T has an overall length of 44’11.5”, overall height (with A/C) of 12’11”, overall width of 102”, interior height of 84” and interior width of 96”. For tank capacities, the American Dream 45T has a fresh water capacity of 100 gallons, grey water capacity of 60 gallons and black water capacity of 40 gallons.

American Coach built the American Dream 45T around the exclusive Liberty chassis, which is designed with I-beam construction and resilient huck-bolt assembly. Its riding and handling features include double-wishbone independent front suspension, UltraSteer Tag Axle, UltraSteer I-Series, UltraSteer B-Series, V-Ride Rear Suspension, Premium Sachs Shocks and Michelin tires. The chassis service center is easy to access and the lower fiberglass front fascia opens at the push of a button – easy and convenient. On top of all that, the chassis design allows for a large pass-through basement storage area, perfect for hiding large and cumbersome objects.

Let’s start with the most important room of the house: the cockpit. The Villa Ultraleather six-way power driver and passenger seats are equipped with heat, power lumbar and adjustable arms. The passenger seat also comes with an electric footrest. The heated side-view mirrors come with remote adjustment, turn signal indicators and side vision cameras integrated into the mirrors. For entertainment, the Xite touch screen dash radio has GPS navigation and Sirius satellite radio.

The living room is equipped with enough seating to accommodate all your guests and family members. Guests can sit on the 60” villa Ultraleather sofa or the 83” villa Ultraleather sofa with an air mattress. The driver and passenger seats rotate, acting as comfy sofa chairs. Equipped with overhead cabinetry throughout the space, the living room provides you with lots of storage space. The Sony home entertainment centre has Blu-ray, WiFi and 48” LED HDTV, ensuring your guests are always entertained.

American Dream’s galley is chef’s dream come true. Featuring the finest appliances in the industry, the American Dream 45T is equipped with a Whirlpool French-door refrigerator (with an ice-maker), convection microwave oven, and flush-mount electric two-burner induction cooktop and dishwasher drawer with cabinet wood front. The stainless steel under-mount double-bowl sink features a Dehco high-rise faucet with a pullout sprayer. You store all your non-perishables in the pantry and your dishes in the overhead cabinetry. When dinner’s ready, you can serve it at the dining table. Sitting between a large panoramic window and 48” LED TV, dinner can be enjoyed to the beautiful view of the outdoors or to your favourite TV show.

After a hot day on the road, you’ll probably want to clean yourself up in the bathroom. The American Coach American Dream features a luxurious and spacious bathroom that will make you forget you’re in a motorhome. The solid surface shower pan comes with decorative inlay and a glass curved door, while the polish solid surface countertop has a residential faucet. American Coach also outfitted the bathroom with Tecma Silence Plus two-button porcelain vacuum flush toilets and double roller shades for extra privacy. Next door is a dresser, wardrobe and stackable washer/dryer.

When you’re ready for bed, take a walk to your spacious bedroom. The exclusive Serenity series King mattress comes with Signature Memory Foam and hardwood framed headboard with a padded fabric accent. You can store your things in the under-bed storage compartment, overhead cabinetry rear wardrobe (for shoe storage) or full-length rear wardrobe. For electronics, the bedroom is equipped with a Sony 32” LED HDTV and Sony Blue-ray DVD Player.
