The 2017 CampLite travel trailer from Livin’ Light has everything you and your family need for a road trip adventure in an ultra-light package, thanks to its all-aluminum frame.


Of the eight floor plans available, we’ll be exploring the 21BHS. It has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 6016 lbs, and a dry weight of 3,600 lbs. It’s fluid tanks can hold 26 gallons of fresh water, 28 gallons of black water and 32 gallons of grey water.


The CampLite 21BHS is just shy of 25’ long from rear bumper to hitch and the box length is 21’2.” It measures 7’ wide and, with the air conditioning unit, 9’8” high.


The travel trailer is built on a durable and light weight, rust-proof, all-aluminum tube frame chassis, with two wide-track leaf spring axles, a power tongue jack, and aluminum frame. Water and mold-resistant composite material is used throughout. For added security against the elements, there’s a gutter with downspouts around the main trailer, as well as above the slide, to help to direct the rain away.

Two exterior speakers have blue accent LED lights and, if you opt for the 14’ power awning it has a full length of LED strip lighting to light up your campsite. The CampLite 21BHS is prepped for cable and satellite and also pre-wired for a solar panel. There is also an outside hot/cold shower and pass-through storage.


You have a choice of six exterior paint colors to complement the CampLite 21BHS’ clean, modern line – from white and black to a bold red. The diamond plate skirting guards against rocks and flying debris as you drive.


Inside, the light-colored cabinets give an open, airy feel to the space, or pick the more traditionally stained wood. Or, for a super sleek look, opt-in for all-aluminum cabinetry. Cabinet structures are lightweight all-aluminum tubing, and the flooring is freeze- and crack-proof linoleum. The windows – all dual-pane, tinted, with built-in day/night shades and screens – open 90 degrees.T

he kitchen area is equipped with a two-burner flush-mounted cooktop with glass cooktop cover, vented range hood with light, a convection microwave, a six-cubic-foot refrigerator with freezer, and a stainless steel sink with high rise faucet. A flip-up extension to the solid surface countertop boosts your workspace. There’s also a charging center with USB ports so you can keep your electronics nearby while you prepare meals.


The roomy U-shaped dinette has ample room for meals, family game nights, and trip planning. At the end of a day full of fun and adventure, it easily converts into extra sleeping space.

When the weather isn’t cooperating and you’re stuck inside, at least you’ll have some tunes to help ease the sting. The AM/FM/iPod stereo system has flush mounted speakers and, if you need a little more entertainment, there’s also a digital TV antenna, cable hookup, and a swivel TV bracket.

The queen-sized bed with reversible quilt has two gas struts so it flips up almost effortlessly, providing easy access to ample under bed storage. There’s more storage in overhead cabinets and a shirt closet


The comfortable bunk beds have teddy-bear mattresses to up the cozy factor, plus more storage.


In the bathroom, the stand-up shower has an aluminum shower surround, porcelain foot-flush toilet, and a mirrored medicine cabinet.
