Sure, you could choose to sleep on the ground with only a sheet of fabric protecting you from the elements (and bugs and other critters). But why would you rough it when you can bring all of the comforts of home with you in the 2011 Skyline Nomad Ultra-Lite 210 Travel Trailer.

Offering you a care-free travel package, the Nomad Ultra-Lite comes complete with plumbing, electrical, heat and kitchen equipment – all in an affordable, streamlined package. With five floor plans to choose from in the Ultra-Lite travel trailer series, we’ll be concentrating our attention on the 210, the second largest model in this line.

Combining aerodynamics and light weight construction techniques, the Nomad Ultra-Lite is a “tow friendly” travel trailer that’s durable and tough. Able to improve gas mileage, this model exemplifies why aerodynamics is so important to your travel trailer. With room to sleep four, the 210 is great for avid camping families or for the adventurer who likes to bring a few buddies along for the fun.

Built on a steel frame I-Beam chassis with steel outriggers, the Nomad Ultra-Lite is strong and tough to take on the rigors of the roads, yet stays light weight so you burn less fuel while towing it. Equipped with a dual battery rack and black rotocast wheel wells, the 210 comes with 10” electric brakes at all of its wheels and an enclosed underbelly that holds all of its tanks. Other heavy-duty extras include safety chains, a rear bumper and a breakaway safety switch.

Its seamless one-piece roof – complete with a manufacturer’s 12-year limited warranty – is outfitted with tapered trusses on 16-inch centers and rain gutter rails with extra-long drip spouts to help with water runoff. In order to prevent heat or cool air from escaping, the roof is lined with R-7 insulation. The 210 features laminated floor construction, complete with a welded aluminum frame, block foam insulation and Lauan plywood decking, as well as a tightly sealed woven polyethylene underbelly.

Surrounding this Skyline travel trailer is sturdy laminated sidewall construction that boasts block foam insulation, steel cabinet backers, and a Lauan exterior panel under fiberglass exterior. The sidewalls and endwalls feature welded aluminum frame construction, and its flush-mount heavy duty trunk doors make packing and unpacking easy. The 210’s exterior sidewalls are adorned with custom styled graphics and its radius slider clamp-ring windows are tinted to offer you privacy without compromising the view. Other exterior features include a radius entry door with a screen kick panel and a patio convenience light.

If you need more exterior features in your travel trailer, the Nomad Ultra-Lite allows you to add on some handy features. These include stabilizer jacks, an A&E Sunchaser side awning, TV antenna, a propane bottle cover, a spare tire with carrier, double entry step, black tank flush, exterior shower, outside speakers and Goodyear tires.

If you really want to bring the comforts of home along with you, the first place to start is with decor. Sporting color-coordinated designer interiors, no detail has been overlooked, from the box valance on all of the living area’s windows to the embossed vinyl flooring. Other details that make a difference include mini blinds, a sofa with matching arm pillows and decorative glass doors in select overhead cabinets.

And speaking of cabinets, the Nomad Ultra-Lite doesn’t skimp on the storage solutions. Cabinets throughout the travel trailer are made from wood and feature the travel lock guide system. You’ll find durable solid wood-framed cabinet doors with raised panel inserts in kitchen and living area, giving your home on wheels a polished and refined aura.

Onto the kitchen, where there’s plenty of high-quality equipment on hand to keep you well fed. There’s a large Dometic refrigerator, a Wedgewood two-burner range and a lighted range hood with a fan. If you’re always on the go, you can upgrade with a microwave oven with carousel, or if you’re going to be on the road for extended trips, go with the option of a large double door refrigerator. For your prep and clean-up needs, the kitchen comes with a high-pressure laminate countertop, an acrylic kitchen sink with deep 60/40 basin and a high rise kitchen faucet.

In the living area, the family can play board or card games while lounging on the sofa, and using the freestanding table to hold your snacks. If you’re not in the mood for games, you can hook up a TV courtesy of its park cable for hook up. If being entertained is a big priority for you, then you can choose the option of getting an AM/FM/DVD stereo with USB and iPod connections as well as four speakers.

A functioning bathroom is one luxury its hard to live without while camping, but the 210 pulls through for you with an ABS tub/shower (complete with skylight overhead), a power bath exhaust fan, a wardrobe and a medicine cabinet with a mirror. Options available for the bathroom include a tub/shower surround, a shower curtain valance and a deluxe medicine cabinet.

For your sleeping pleasure, you’ll be resting on an inner spring mattress, complete with color-coordinated quilted bedspread. There’s also a TV hook up and plenty of storage space provided in the two wardrobes. Upgrades for the bedroom include a deluxe headboard and window treatments.
