If you were looking for an excuse to visit a national park this fall, you may want to mark September 25 (Public Lands Day) and November 11 (Veterans Day) on your calendar.

More than 100 national parks that usually charge entrance fees will waive their fees on those two days! Now is your chance to check out these national treasures without spending a dime to get in. However, other fees, such as camping and tours, do still apply unless otherwise stated.

If you can’t get away on either of those two days, don’t worry; many of the 392 national parks never charge an entrance fee.
