When you’re on the road, you want everything in one place. And with the 2012 Fleetwood Bounder Class A Motorhome, you get that…plus loads of extras.

There are only two floorplans with this model, so the choice is as easy as flipping a coin. We’re going to take a closer look at the Bounder 35K. It has an overall length of 36’3”, overall height of 12’10”, overall width of 102”, interior height of 84”, interior width of 96”, indoor storage capacity of 126 cubic feet, and exterior storage capacity of 144 cubic feet. The Bounder has a GVWR of 22,000 lbs, front GAWR of 8,000 lbs, rear GAWR of 15,000 lbs, GCWR of 26,000 lbs, hitch rating weight of 5,000 lbs, and tongue weight of 500 lbs. It has an 85-gallon fresh water holding tank, 58-gallon grey water holding tank, 42-gallon black water holding tank, and 10-gallon water heater tank. As well, it has a 34,000 BTU furnace and high efficiency dual roof air conditioner with solar panel, heat pump and chill grills.

Built on a Ford chassis, the Bounder is driven by a 6.8L Triton V10 engine, complete with a Ford 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Utilizing the Power Platform, this strong chassis provides lots of storage space that is lined with molded polyethylene for easy cleaning. The Bounder’s holding tanks are located in the bottom for balance purposes, as well as being enclosed to prevent freezing in cold weather. It also features hydraulic four-wheel disc brakes and 22.5″ aluminum wheels.

And talk about tough – the Bounder is constructed using durable materials and processes. It’s made using aluminum Interlocking floor, wall and ceiling framing, radius roof, and Vacu-Bond Upper and lower floors, walls with smooth exterior high-gloss fiberglass and sidewalls. The Vacu-Bond construction creates a strong, weather-resistant structure. To finish things off, the sidewalls, floor and ceiling are Vacu-bonded to a durable metal frame. For a tight fit, the Bounder Class A motorhome features Interlocking ceiling-to-sidewall construction and Interlocking Floor-To-Sidewall Construction. This helps to keep out water, dust and noise, and helps eliminate squeaks and rattles.

One of the perks about having a Class A motorhome is all the storage space – the Bounder is no exception. The EZ Store compartment on the living area slide-out works on gas lift strut supports and features rotomolded polyethylene luggage compartments. It also comes equipped with side swinging luggage doors and hidden, stainless-steel latch rods.

Other exterior features of note include a large one-piece bonded-in windshield, trailer hitch with seven-pin electrical hook-up, remote/heated rear-view mirrors with side-view cameras, and four-point automatic levelers.

Designed for comfort and convenience, the Bounder’s interior is warm and inviting. Make this RV your own with décor options that include Caramel Slate, Mixed Chocolate and Natural Stone, along with Toasted Chestnut and Butterscotch Spice cabinetry. As well, it comes equipped with soft-touch vinyl ceiling, solid divider doors, halogen lighting, wall switches and wood drawers.

If you’re in the driver’s seat, you can be sure you’ll be taken care of, thanks to plush seating, plenty of lighting and technology at your fingertips. The driver and front passenger captain’s chairs come complete with reclining back/slide controls and three-point seat belts. If you’re the co-pilot, you’ll be treated to a passenger chair footrest. The soft-surface automotive dash houses an AM/FM radio with CD player (satellite radio-ready), color rear and turn signal vision system and a monitor panel.

The living area in the Bounder is a great place to slow down and unwind, even if you’re in motion. Cozy furniture and convenient sofa beds make your adventures comfortable no matter where you end up. A 40″ LCD HDTV and a DVD home theater sound system will ensure you are always entertained. You can choose to upgrade this room with an electronic fireplace and a free standing dinette with a credenza.

Even if you’re not a chef, you’re going to love the Bounder’s kitchen. The fully equipped, modern galley is outfitted with a 12 cu.ft. Dometic 4-door refrigerator with an icemaker, three-burner cooktop, and convection microwave oven. Sit down with the family to a meal in the booth dinette, and a folding range cover gives you more room to work. Other features include a Fan-Tastic power roof vent, raised-panel cabinet doors, single-lever galley faucet with a pullout sprayer, sink cover/cutting board, solid-surface backsplash, and vinyl flooring.

Get more than your share of R&R in the Bounder’s master bedroom. Sleep soundly on the queen-sized bed that’s outfitted with a Restonic innerspring mattress and a bedspread with decor pillows. The bedroom also comes with a 32″ LCD TV, pleated shades, rear speakers and torque windows.

Finally, we arrive at the bathroom. The amenities found here include a Fan-Tastic power roof vent, glass shower enclosure with skylight, hardwood bath door and trims, molded tub/shower enclosure, porcelain toilet, and toilet tank San-T-Flush system.
