There are those adventurous souls who want to explore the roads but don’t want to do it in a full-sized coach. That being said, they still want all the features and conveniences that come with it. The 2010 Four Winds Chateau Citation Class C Motorhome may be the product to fill that niche.

Available in multiple floor plan choices, there’s a Chateau Citation to fit most any family size or travel requirement. And no matter which one you chose, they all come with ”Mega Storage” so you get that extra storage you need and nothing important gets left behind. Since we can only tackle one plan at a time, let’s take a look at the 26BE, the second smallest plan in the series. It measures in with an exterior length of 27′ 4″, an exterior height of 10′ 7”, and exterior width of 94″ and an interior height of 80″.

Available on a Ford chassis, the 26BE is powered by a Triton 8-cylinder, fuel-injected V8 engine that delivers 255 hp and 350 torque. Built with a fully welded tubular aluminum roof and sidewall cage construction, the Chateau Citation’s premium one-piece crown TPO roof is Energy Star approved. It also comes outfitted with one-piece fiberglass front and rear caps and seamless roto-cast storage compartments. Making it extra durable is its Vacu-Bond laminated roof, walls and floors with high-density block foam insulation and fully welded tubular steel floor system. Other features that round out the exterior package include flush mount radius luggage doors, clear acrylic, entry grab handle, a roof ladder and a manual patio awning.

And it’s as stylish as it is tough, thanks to slick fiberglass exterior sidewalls, an exterior graphics package and its curved sidewall design. You can also choose to upgrade with exterior graphics with partial paint package or a full-body paint package with gel-coat sidewalls.

In the way of electrical and plumbing amenities, the Chateau Citation doesn’t scrimp out on this department either. In the way of electrical, it comes equipped with a battery disconnect switch, emergency start switch, 30 amp service with shore line power cord and an auxiliary house battery. For your plumbing pleasure, it comes with a water heater bypass system and holding tanks with heat pads. An optional feature is the Power Package that includes an automatic electric entrance step, an automatic generator transfer switch, a second auxiliary house battery and a 6-gallon gas/electric water heater.

It’s time to go inside, where you’ll be greeted to an 80″ interior ceiling height overhead. On the floor, residential linoleum in the galley, bath and entry way makes it easy to clean up after messy feet. Helping to set the stylish scene is a soft touch vinyl ceiling, European-style curved cabinetry with hidden hinges, Cinnamon Maple cabinetry and brushed nickel finish hardware. To keep you comfortable when the temperature goes up, it comes outfitted with a ceiling ducted air conditioning system and a 13,500 BTU low-profile air conditioner. Finishing it all off is a fabric jackknife sofa, day/night shades throughout the coach, a windshield privacy curtain, fluorescent ceiling lighting and a booth dinette. Options you may consider adding on include leatherette jackknife sofa, a Fantastic fan, Cherry cabinetry and a 15,000 BTU low-profile air conditioner.

Even getting to your destination is comfortable. Take a seat on the leatherette driver and passenger captain’s chairs, and you’ll feel safe with three-point seat belts and driver and passenger air bags. Other great cab features include power windows and door locks, heated remote exterior mirrors, fiberglass running boards, back-up monitor, an AM/FM dash radio with oversized buttons, CD player, weather band tuner, iPod and Sirius Satellite ready and an upgrade dash insert with drink tray.

While you’re on the road, you’ll never be bored because the Chateau Citation comes with a host of entertainment options. It comes standard with a front entertainment center with 32″ LCD television in cab-over and remote control, HD/DSS satellite prep, cable television prep and a television antenna and booster. If you really like your entertainment pursuits, you can upgrade to home theater system with DVD player and radio tuner, as well as an outside entertainment center that includes a 26″ LCD television, AM/FM stereo, CD/DVD player, iPod ready jack and speakers.

Onboard the Chateau Citation is a full bathroom and bedroom. Get your rest on a queen-size bed with innerspring mattress that’s outfitted with a bedspread and pillow shams. In the bathroom, you’ll find a shower with glass door and skylight, a china bowl toilet and a power bath vent.

There’s even a place to make a feast to keep all your campers happy. Cook up a storm with a microwave, stove and refrigerator, as well as a double sink that makes clean up quick and easy.
