You want a towable that comes complete with residential appeal, along with some daily living luxuries you and your family can’t do without. A fifth wheel fits this bill perfectly, and while you’re looking around, you should check out the 2011 Holiday Rambler Savoy LX Fifth Wheel.

Available in five different floor plans (it also comes as a travel trailer too), we’ll be taking a tour around the 33SKQ, the largest model of the series. Measuring in at 34′-9.75″, the 33SKQ has a gross vehicle weight rating of 12,400 and a tire size and load range of 15″ D.

Built on an I-Beam frame, the Savoy LX is constructed with laminated walls with foam block insulation, smooth white fiberglass exterior walls and a front molded fiberglass cap. Underneath the fifth wheel is its heated and enclosed under floor fresh water and holding tank, which allows this towable to remain aerodynamic.

You never know what the weather is going to be like when you plan your vacation, so it’s important to make sure your environment is comfortable no matter where you go. And the Savoy is prepared for this. It comes equipped with a Carrier 13,500 BTU rooftop air conditioner with remote control, a 30M BTU Hydroflame electronic ignition furnace and an in-floor ducted heating system. If you want to keep the air circulation, you can always go with the option of a ceiling fan.

Taking care of all your plumbing needs, the Savoy LX keeps you in hot water with its 6-gallon L.P. gas/electric water heater with electronic ignition. For added convenience, it also comes equipped with a centralized water management system and a No-Fuss flush holding and tank rinsing system.

Part of the reason you get away is to experience some new surrounds, and in the Savoy, you really do get to soak in the view. Its tinted Radius Windows (made with Safety Glass) gives you an unobstructed view of your site, and there’s even a tinted Skylight in Bathroom that lets plenty of light in. If you want to get out to enjoy a cup of coffee first thing in the morning while soaking up the beautiful view, you can add on a power electric awning.

Inside, buyers have the chance to personalize their decor. Available in Gemstone, Woodland Crossing and Yorktown Ginger, you can coordinate your decor with warm Golden Select or rich Newport Cherry cabinetry. Also adding to its comfortable and stylish look are decorative wood slide-out fascia, wallpaper borders, woodgrain molding at the ceiling and woodgrain passage doors.

A kitchen is said to be the heart of the home, and the sentimental folks at Holiday Rambler kept this in mind when designing the Savoy. Along with plenty of cabinets, this kitchen also comes with a pantry with adjustable shelves for all your dry goods and pots and pans. For your cooking pleasure, you’ll get a 6 cu. ft. refrigerator, a microwave with touch control, a Wedgewood high output 3-burner range with oven and a range hood. Other great kitchen features include a built-in wood knife holder found behind the stove, a molded counter top and a sink cover.

The need to entertain often arises, even when you’re away from home. Invite your fellow campers into the Savoy LX’s living area, where there’s plenty of room to sit. Gather around on the Jackknife sleeper sofa, two swivel barrel chairs and a wood booth dinette with arched back cushions. For those nights when you just want to sit back and watch the game, this fifth wheel comes with a 26″ LCD TV with HD tuner and mounting bracket, a home theater surround sound system and a Winegard TV antenna with booster.

If it’s been a long day, head to your own private downtime HQ. The bedroom is separated from the rest of the trailer by a slide-out, giving you extra privacy. Complete with a queen-size bed, the bedroom also features a chest of drawers and a wardroom with mirrored doors, so there is plenty of space to hang and store your clothes. Another plus is the 19″ LCD TV with remote control, perfect for when you want to watch a little late night television before calling it a day. And to ensure you’re not woken up too early, make sure to draw the pleated day/blackout shades to keep out the early morning rays.

The bathroom, located right next to the bedroom, boasts all the amenities campers need to say fresh, clean and comfortable. There’s a bathroom Sink with a striking single handle brushed nickel faucet, an ABS neo-angle Shower with one-piece surround with glass door and a shower faucet with shower hose and head with shut-off.

Other add-ons you may want to upgrade to include solar wire prep, Hide-A-Bed sofa with air mattress, a free-standing dinette table with four wood chairs, kitchen counter top extension and washer/dryer prep.

The Savoy LX Fifth Wheel starts at $35,770 and more information can be found at http://www.holidayrambler.com/.
