Whether you’re trudging through the outback or cruising on the freeway, the Keystone Outback Terrain will get you where you need to go. This full-sized, ultra-lite trailer packs a lot, but weighs a little.



With 10 floor plans to choose from, we decided to explore the new 265TRB. It has a shipping weight of 6,070 lbs, carrying capacity of 1,730 lbs, and hitch weight of 650 lbs. For measurements, the Outback Terrain has a length of 30’0” and a height of 11’4”. For liquids, it has a freshwater capacity of 43 gallons, wastewater capacity of 30 gallons, and gray water capacity of 60 gallons.


Keystone built the Outback Terrain on a powder-coated I-beam frame. The chassis features a leaf spring equalizing suspension system and EZ lube axles. Electric brakes measure 10 inches, while the radial tires are 15 inches and 15-inch spare comes standard. Welded aluminum walls have R7 and solid block foam insulation. The one-piece ALPHA rubber roof features R14 blanket insulation and the welded, aluminum-laminated floor has R10 block foam insulation. Light for towing, the Keystone Outback Terrain is built for long road trips.

When you walk up the triple radius entry step, you’ll open the door into a cozy interior. The space is much larger than you’d expect and more importantly, it feels like home. The Deluxe Morgan Cherry cabinetry welcomes you into the space, creating a cozy atmosphere. It is pre-drilled and screwed. Storage space seems unlimited – there are large wood-side drawers with steel guides, and large overhead cabinets. A 32″ HDTV in the living room can be watched from the comfort the sofa sleeper. The space also comes with an AM/FM/CD stereo, equipped with a DVD player, MP3 hook-up, and Bluetooth capability.

Big trips require big meals. The Outback Terrain’s kitchen has all the necessary appliances and space for cooking your favourite dishes. A deep single basin comes with 3” drains and a high faucet. The 6 cu. ft. refrigerator has two doors, while the three-burner range comes with an oven. If you’re in a hurry, you can heat leftovers in the microwave or chop some fruit up on the laminate countertops. With a full-sized pantry and a pantry that also poses as a wardrobe, you won’t have to worry about where to put your cereal boxes and canned beans. When dinner’s ready, serve it at the dining table, which sits beside large panoramic windows. The windows feature custom-designed box valances that have a soft curtain design.

After a big meal you might want to take a nap in the bedroom. Collapse on your Queen-sized bed, which comes with Deluxe innerspring mattress and residential bedspread. Get comfortable and turn on the TV – the bedroom is equipped with a TV hook-up. If you want to catch up on reading you can turn on the His or Her light in the bedroom and play some soft music through your speakers. Keep your clothes nicely organized in the two full-length wardrobes. You can charge your gadgets in the USB charging port. During the day, the bedroom gets a lot of natural light; the Jalousie windows are designed for maximum ventilation.

After a good night’s sleep, you’ll want to hop out of bed and prepare yourself for a big day ahead. The bathroom features a garden shower, tub surround and a skylight over the tub. There’s a power roof vent and a Deluxe medicine cabinet that can store all your toiletries. Of course, you’ll also find a toilet and an added bonus – a large linen closet for your towels.

If you prefer being outdoors, you will be happy with the Outback Terrain’s outdoor features. Exterior speakers will entertain your guests while you prepare a meal on the outside camp kitchen. If it’s late, you can turn on the porch light. If you’re hitching up at night then you can turn on the hitch light. For those rainy days, the extended drip caps and full-length drip rail will keep your home dry.


The Outback Terrain comes with many utilities, designed to keep you safe, including carbon monoxide detector, smoke detector, and fire extinguishers. Safety glass windows are tinted and all electric slides feature manual slide backups. The Terrain also has safety chains and a 55-amp converter.
