American Coach’s 2014 Heritage is not your average Class A motorhome. Be prepared to open your wallet up wide if you want to bask in the luxury of this lavish diesel pusher.

Despite only four floorplans, it’s difficult to choose which one we like most. One has a walk-in closet. One has dual master vanities. We decided to explore the 45A because it’s rare that a coach – no matter what price tag – comes with a king-size spa shower.

It has a gross vehicle weight rating of 51,000 lbs, front gross axle weight rating of 17,000 lbs, tag axle gross axle weight rating of 14, 000 lbs, rear gross axle weight rating of 20, 000 lbs and gross combined weight rating of 66,000 lbs. The American Heritage 45A has a hitch rating weight of 15, 000 lbs and a tongue weight of 1,500 lbs. Pull out the tape measure and the Heritage 45A has an overall length of 44’ 11.5”, overall height of 12’ 11”, overall width of 102, interior height of 84” and interior width of 96”. For water, the Heritage 45A has a fresh water tank capacity of 100 gallons, grey water tank capacity of 60 gallons and black water tank capacity of 40 gallons.

The American Coach Heritage rides on a Liberty chassis featuring huck bolts that are the strongest vibration-resistant fasteners available on the market today. The chassis is also equipped with an e-coat, which has gone through an intense 1,000-hour salt spray test so it’s guaranteed to last long and stay strong. Premium Sachs Shocks increase comfort and driving safety, while the I-beam’s high-strength steel cross-sections increase strength but decrease weight. Dual-side fuel tanks, swallowing up to 150 gallons of fuel, let you go further and fill up less often. Long road trips usually result in the need for more storage so the large pass-through storage compartment will allow you to carry all the extras. Keeping the Heritage 45A glued to the road are Michelin tires wrapped around polished aluminum wheels.

You don’t have to be outside to enjoy the sun setting behind mountains or rising from the sea thanks to the Heritage’s large, panoramic windows, finished with hardwood window treatments. If you’re planning a romantic dinner with your significant other, adjust the lighting, play a romantic tune and uncork a nice bottle of wine. From top to bottom, the Heritage is built with class. The ceiling is decorated with a beautiful trim and features 12V LED ceiling and task lighting. Premium hardwood cabinet doors are also lined. Cabinetry and moldings throughout the space are faced with premium hardwood as well, while the floor is a polished porcelain tile. For added convenience, control your lights, blinds, and A/V/ with your iPad.

The living room, located directly behind the cockpit, features a Bose V35 home theater system and a Sony 46” LED HDTV. It also comes with a Sony Blu-ray DVD and Wi-Fi. The RVC Multiplex Control System by Silverleaf is equipped with iPad interface. Featuring the latest technology on the market, the American Heritage provides you with the necessary tools to get things done – whether it means watching your favorite TV series or working from home. If you have guests over, transform the cozy sofa into a Queen bed.

Family is best enjoyed at a dinner table set with a home-cooked meal. The American Coach Heritage 45A provides you with a dining table and chairs, where you can enjoy a meal prepared in the residential kitchen. The family cook will love the large countertop, decorated with edge treatment, which provides ample space for chopping and cutting. You can wash veggies in the double-bowl sink, equipped with a Kalia high-rise galley faucet, pullout sprayer and flush sink covers. Cook your food on the Flesh Mount electric two-burner induction cooktop or if you’re having a lazy day, use the GE Advantium microwave. All drawers have roller bearing full-extension drawer guides and solid hardwood fronts. Store leftovers in the French door refrigerator, equipped with an icemaker.

If you don’t like waiting in line for the toilet, you’ll love that there are two in the Heritage 45A. One washroom is small and includes only a porcelain toilet, medicine cabinet and small sink. The second bathroom is gigantic in comparison and includes a shower, equipped with a bench seat. All bath accessories have a brushed nickel finish. The clear glass shower enclosure features a brushed chrome trim and the shower features hand-laid residential-style tiles. There’s a solid-surface shower caddy and a skylight. The polished solid-surface countertop comes with a sink and Kalia faucet. To top off the luxury, the floors are illuminated with LED lights.

Equipped with a King-sized, memory foam mattress, your bedroom is the perfect escape from a long day. Storage space seems unlimited; there’s the full length wardrobe, under-bed storage, overhead cabinetry above the bed, shoe storage wardrobe, and a key-actuated hidden safe. If you like catching up on 11 o’ clock news before bed, then turn on your Sony 46” LED HDTV. You also have a Sony Blu-ray DVD Player.

The 2014 American Coach Heritage 45A sells for around $800,000. For more information visit: http://www.americancoach.com/.
