2014 Entegra Coach Aspire 42DEQ Review
Entegra’s Aspire is a coach built for travelling in luxury. Whether you love entertainment, cooking or napping extensively, the Aspire will impress you with its easy-living design.
Five floorplans are available to choose from, including the 42DEQ we’ll be featuring here. It has a gross vehicle weight rating of 46,600 lbs, gross combined weight rating of 61,600 lbs, front gross axle weight rating of 14,600 lbs, rear gross axle weight rating of 20,000 lbs and tag axle gross weight rating is 12,000 lbs. The Aspire has an exterior length of 43’1”, exterior width of 101”, exterior height with A/C and satellite of 12’11” and interior height of 84”. The Aspire has a fresh water capacity of 80 gallons, gray waste capacity of 49.75 gallons and black waste capacity of 49.75. Its fuel tank capacity is 100 gallons.
With X-Bridge frames engineered into its chassis, Entegra Coach built the Aspire to last. It is equipped with V-Flex rear chassis support and comes with a steel-reinforced front cap and windshield frame. Sidewalls are bolted to the chassis frame structure. Exterior walls are made of smooth gel-coat fiberglass, while the fully decked roof is made of one-piece fiberglass. The underbelly is enclosed, insulated and heated. All slideouts are electric powered and all cabinets have hidden hinges. Cabinetry throughout the interior is crafted with screwed hardwood stile construction.

Driver and passenger seats feature three-point lap and shoulder safety belts. The A/C/heater vents are located by the foot pedals, which are adjustable. As well, there’s a high-output dash heater and A/C. Other cockpit features include color-coordinated carpeted floor mats and a color back-up camera and monitor. If you’ll be driving for hours on the open road, your cruise control option will come in handy. Sunny day drivers can make use of the powered front sun visors. You also get privacy shades. Finally, a Samsung 32” LED HDTV and a touch-screen AM/FM/CD/DVD with Rand McNally GPS Navigation, Bluetooth and four speakers are standard.
Directly behind the cockpit is the living room, which features an entertainment center equipped with an electric fireplace. Although not mandatory, the fireplace is a nice option for those who like reading to a crackling fire, but don’t like collecting the wood to do so. Those who love their TV shows will enjoy sprawling out on the expandable sofa and flipping through channels on the 46” LED TV. Aspire’s interior is designed to be efficient, but also trendy. Equipped with a ceiling mirror and decorative oil rubbed bronze lighting, the Aspire 42DEQ also features glazed cherry solid hardwood cabinetry that compliments the leather furniture throughout the space.

Chefs will appreciate the use of space in the large kitchen. The residential refrigerator is equipped with an icemaker and a water dispenser, which is uncommon in the RV world. Both the stove and sink are outfitted with DuPont Corian covers. Ample storage is available throughout the kitchen, including a deep drawer that comes with a wastebasket. The high-rise single-lever faucet comes with a pullout sprayer. It’s made of oil rubbed bronze, along with the soap dispenser and drinking water faucet. For extra space, use the pullout cabinet extension with a countertop. The silverware drawer is divided for utensils and the solid surface countertops have an integrated sink. Enjoy meals at the dinette, located beside the refrigerator, with a perfect view of the TV.
Unlike most coaches, the Aspire’s bathroom is a thing of beauty. Grooming and washing have never been this comfortable… at least not in an RV. All fixtures are oil-rubbed bronze, including the soap dispenser, toilet paper holder, towel holder, and vanity light fixture. Step inside the one-piece radius fiberglass shower and enjoy the sunshine courtesy of the skylight. The residential medicine cabinet has a mirror and the solid surface countertops come with an integrated sink.

For a perfect place to escape after a long day behind the wheel, look no further rthan the bedroom. Collapse on the King Select Comfort air mattress, equipped with a quilted bedspread and two pillow shams. Once you find a relaxing position, turn on your Samsung 32” LED TV and relax. Those who prefer a good book before bed can make use of the oil rubbed bronze halogen-reading lights. With a hardwood wardrobe, equipped a large mirror, storage space is plentiful in the bedroom.
