If you’ve got travel fever, cure what ails you by taking the 2011 R-Vision Onyx Travel Trailer on the road for a little getaway.

Fresh and bold, the Euro-contemporary Onyx is a lightweight trailer that’s packed with flair and attitude.

Available in nine different floorplans, ranging in size from 20 to 32 feet, there’s a model to fit your travel lifestyle. Because we can’t go through all of them here, we’re going to concentrate our efforts on the 24 RS, a rear slide, mid-size model.

Built on a 6″ I-beam powder coated frame, the Onyx can stand up to anything the roads or the environment have to throw at it. This is thanks in part to its laminated sidewalls that are constructed with fiberglass skin, lauan and aluminum. From the bottom up, it comes with a heated and enclosed underbelly, laminated flooring with two layers of lauan, and an aluminum frame with foam, lauan and darco, and its laminated seamless rubber roof features lauan, aluminum and 3” ceiling board. Giving it a sleek and streamlined look is smooth fiberglass exterior rear wall, vinyl exterior graphics, a radius front wall profile and molded ABS fender skirts. Other features that add to the Onyx’s allure are white wheels, frame mounted entry step, radius exterior storage door with a door catch and a sidewall fun door.

Keep the lights on and the power running no matter where you decide to set up camp. Equipped with a 30-amp electrical management system, a detachable 30-amp power cord, an A-frame battery rack and a 55-amp converter with a charger, you can always keep the juice flowing in this travel trailer. Flip the switch and flood the Onyx with light with a porch and security lights, double pancake lights throughout, interior ceiling light switches and single pancake lights in the bunk area. Other electrical features include patio 120V exterior receptacle and a patio cable TV hook-up.

Don’t fret about what you’re going to do about your water needs while away from home – the Oynx has got you covered in this area too. It comes complete with a 6-gallon gas/DSI/electric water heater, a water heater by-pass, two 30 lb. L.P. tanks with automatic changeover and cover, rotocast holding tanks and a rotocast fresh tank.

When you’re bit by the travel bug, you want to be on the move all year long. Thankfully, the Onyx is prepared for four-season travel. You’ll be able to keep toasty warm with the 20M BTU Hydro Flame electronic ignition furnace, and you can cool down with a 13,500 BTU non-ducted air conditioner.

To ensure you enjoy your surroundings, the Onyx comes with a host of features that maximize the view.

Radius windows, a skylight in the bathroom and a galley window (made with safety glass) flood this travel trailer with light. A radius entry door with a window, dead bolt and screen gives you easy access to the outdoors, while an A&E manual awning is perfect for an early morning coffee or an evening aperitif.

Comfort, convenience and style galore wait inside Onyx. Choose from either the Spotlight or Element decor options and Fulton Cherry and Concert Cherry two-tone cabinetry that are highlighted by square frame flat panel doors with mortise and tenon corners. Rooms are accented with decorative wall board, a wallpaper border and decorative slide-out fascia. Other decorative touches include wood grain panel refrigerator insert doors, linoleum floors, night shades and mini blinds.

The heart of a home is its kitchen and it’s the same in the Onyx. Cook up some tasty vittles with a glass-top stove with sealed burners and integrated control pad. A unique fold-down faucet and sink that expands the work space makes prep and clean up a breeze. The half time oven adds to the convenience and functionality and its heat resistant composite countertop is durable and strong. Other features you’ll find in the kitchen include a double door 6 cu. ft. refrigerator, a lighted powered range hood and a pre-wire for a microwave.

In the living area, the euro-designed contemporary style makes you feel right at home. Take a seat on the fabric covered fold down sleeper sofa. Enjoy a meal or play a game of cards at the 48″ booth dinette with fabric cushions. If you want to take a brake from nature, you can choose to go with the 26” LCD TV option and catch up on your favorite shows.

Head into the bedroom for your beauty sleep on a king-sized bed, complete with a decorative bedspread and reverse shams and pillows. There’s also a wardrobe, ideal for storing all your clothes. On the other side of the trailer is where you’ll find the extra bunks in the slide out. This sleeping area features a fabric close-off curtain to give these campers extra privacy.

Off the master bedroom in the bathroom that comes fully equipped with a full tub, a shower, a vanity sink and toilet. Closing it off from the rest of the trailer is its wood grain bath door.

Some available options include electric tongue jack with light, power jacks, power awning, exterior entertainment center, 26” swivel TV entertainment center and aluminum wheels.
