The 2018 Starcraft Launch Outfitter 7 is a hybrid expandable travel trailer that manages to be both spacious and compact. The 19BHS is one of the five floorplans available and, with its queen-bed and bunk bed pop-outs, it can sleep 6-8 people.

The 2018 Starcraft Launch Outfitter 7 91BHS has a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 4750 lbs, an unloaded vehicle weight rating (UVWR) of 4030 lbs, and a dry hitch weight of 438 lbs. It measures 22’ long, 10’ high with the AC unit, and 85” wide. The fresh water tank has a capacity of 32 gallons, the gray water tank can hold 30 gallons, and the black water tank also holds 30 gallons. There’s a quick-recovery 6-gallon water heater as well.

The trailer’s front end has a manual tongue jack and there are stabilizer jacks on all four corners. There is a generous amount of ground clearance under the trailer so you can drive it over all sorts of untamed terrain.

The sturdy welded aluminum frame is covered in vacuum-bonded laminate and is fiberglass reinforced. The pop-out sections also have a touch exterior shell on the underside and double-stitched canvas around the sides and top.

Moving around the outside of the travel trailer, some of the other features include an external hot/cold shower, television output, solar prep, the 12’ power awning with LED lighting, and two marine-grade speakers so you can enjoy music by the campfire. There’s also a fairly spacious storage section in the insulated heat-enclosed underbelly.

Inside, hardwood cabinetry and 6’6” interior height help to give the trailer a more home-like feel.

Kitchen amenities include everything you need to feed your hungry crew: a microwave, two-burner cooktop, hood vent with a fan and a light, a residential highrise faucet, and a four-cubic dometic refrigerator that runs off both gas and electric so that you can tap into shore power when it’s available.

The two pop-out sections with beds for two are at each end of the trailer. A privacy curtain closes off each bed from the main living space. Above each bed, there’s a large, deep shelf to stash all of your gear.

Unzip all three panels around the beds for some fresh air, a cross breeze, and to commune better with the outdoors. Zip everything up for temperature control in the entire trailer. It has a 13,500 BTU air conditioner (or a 15,000 BTU option) and a 18,000 BTU furnace.

The dining booth has a 54” table that – bonus – can be used both inside and outside. At night, drop it down between the dinette benches and it converts into additional sleeping space. A nice big window lets in plenty of natural light.

Across from the dinette, there’s a bench sofa with storage underneath. This can also be used as sleeping space for a smaller person or child.

In terms of entertainment, there is CD/DVD player with USB input so you can plug in your laptop, phone or tablet. There’s also an omni-directional digital TV/AM/FM antenna.

In the bathroom, the shower surround with skylight is also a shallow bathtub for kids or the family pet. Powered ventilation, foot flush toilet, undersink storage, and a mirror complete the bathroom.
