The 2017 Winnebago Micro Minnie travel trailer is as packed with features as it is sleek and stylish.

Of the five floorplans to pick from, we’re going to dig into the 1700BH. Smaller than the Winnebago Minnie, the Micro Minnie 1700BH is towable by most smaller SUVs and crossover vehicles. It measures 9’8” tall to the top of the A/C unit, 20’9” long and 7’ wide. It has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 3800 lbs. Its fresh water tank has a 31-gallon capacity and the black and gray water tanks can each hold 25 gallons.

The Micro Minnie has aluminum framing, block foam insulation, and a poured gel coat fiberglass exterior. Its eye-catching exterior design and paint job comes in eight fun color options to pick from, ranging from very dynamic primary colors to more understated neutrals. The front end of the trailer has black diamond plating along the bottom section to protect it from rocks and debris that get kicked up by the tow vehicle while driving.

Roomy pass-through storage is found at the front of the trailer, as well as a door to access storage space under the bunk, which easily flips up and out of the way to make space for larger items. A ladder mounted at the back of the trailer gives you access to the fully walkable roof, and the exterior black tank flush makes the job easy with a simple hose hook-up. The outside shower has both hot and cold water access.

A 12’ power awning with LED light strip keeps you out of the sun and rain while you enjoy your favorite music. Two patio speakers are controlled by the multi-media center inside but are also Bluetooth capable so you can control the tunes from your smartphone or tablet. A television hookup completes the exterior entertainment options.

Inside the Micro Minnie 1700BH you get 6’4” of ceiling height. LED lights throughout cut down on power use and mean less heat output on hot summer days.

Enter the kitchen and you’ll find a single-bowl sink, highrise faucet, two-burner gas range, range hood with light and fan, and a microwave. The fridge runs on both propane and electricity and has automatic switchover. Storage-wise, there’s a cupboard above the counter area, under the cooktop, as well as a full-height pantry cupboard with multiple shelves. The television is mounted underneath the kitchen cabinets, with the multi-media unit (AM/FM, CD) a DVD player in the space above.

A dinette table located directly across from the counter converts into a bed for extra sleeping space.

At the back of the Micro Minnie 1700BH is the bunk bed area. The top bunk has its own window and each bunk bed has a light. Underneath the bottom bunk, there is that storage space that is accessed by that outside door. It’s also accessible from the inside and is netted in so that items are easy to get to.

Inside the bathroom you’ll find a skylight above the shower and a foot-flush toilet. It’s situated right beside the bunks, so it’s easy for the kids to find their way at night.

The Queen size bed with privacy screen is at the front of the trailer. A handle on the bed makes it easy to lift up so you can access all that pass-through storage space underneath. Windows on each side of the bed allow for a nice cross-breeze, and there’s also a vent up top. A privacy screen easily pulls across.

The Winnebago Micro Minnie starts at $21,684. For more information, visit http://www.winnebagoind.com/.
