Great Coach but......
By notewriter (I am an Owner) on Apr 07, 2013As full timers we put a lot of miles on a coach each year and wanted a rig which was comfortable, reliable and had good customer support when and if needed. At first this was indeed the case as with most new coaches, but as the miles and years added up things changed. We more frequently began having ... appliance failures, electrical and mechanical issues and plumbing problems. With the "Carriage" Company having financial difficulty we had difficulty finding willing and/or compentant dealers to look at these issues and keep us going. Our coach became more and more unreliable, undependable and costly to maintain and repair. We love the aspect of the "full wall slide" and the roominess when you're stuck inside during the winter storms but, when you have to "Hotel it" for days during repairs, it's easy to become discouraged with a product especially, when it's your home. "Carriage" at one time built such a great product and many are still on the road doing fine I'm sure. It should be also noted that the "full wall slide" (FWS) must be maintained within certain tolerances to work without overly straining the underpowered motor which drives the mechanics to bring the slide in and out. I have heard there is now a higher capacity motor for the FWS but at a costly amount which is not covered under any warrantee that I found?Rating breakdown
