letter to Dutchman/ response was to blame Surage Graud
By Roger Garn (I am an Owner) on Aug 12, 2014Dutchmen RV CompanyP.O. Box 2164 Goshen, IN 46527I am writing at this time requesting information to prevent a future power surge on my 2012 Dutchman Infinity that I had purchased new.For the second time in two years I have had an electrical problem. When power had been okayed by the surge protector ... to power the trailer, a burst of power caused electrical damage to the microwave, power inverter, central vacuum system, and DVR Surround Sound system both times. The most recent time, it almost resulted in an electrical fire. No one was inside the trailer at the time. The trailer is protected by a Surge Guard Model 34750. Arbogast RV Service, Troy Ohio, said that I must be really unlucky going to two bad RV parks. After I explained that I was protected by a Surge Guard that they sold to me, they decided that their best guess would be a bad cord losing neutral from the trailer to the Surge Guard, so they sold me a new 50 amp cord at $478.95. With the problems that I have had with Arbogast Service I have lost faith in their service. They are on their third service manager in two years. For an RV that is listed at $70,463 I am just as disappointed with the workmanship of the Infinity. Below is a list of all the problems that I have had with this RV. - Refrigerator overheat relay kicked off full of food three times due to vent pipe not being cut open to the outside vent . - Furnace circuit board went out. - Black water cable broke. - Two outdoor storage doors warped needed replaced. - Front door needed replaced because the core was broke. o Now, the outside keypad nor the key fob will unlock or lock door. o Was only provided one key fob, not two as any vehicle. Advised I could buy the second. - Bedroom windows overlap will not open at same time - Twice the 240 V went through one circuit burning up VCR, voltage converter, microwave and central vacuum system almost causing electrical fire - Kitchen trim fell off two cupboards - 22 screws on slide outs twisted off or were broken off - Plastic shroud over kingpin blew off twice - King-size bed had no cross supports and warped (we rolled to the center of the bed) - ArbogastĆ¢ā¬ā¢s bed repairs were not acceptable o No supports were added o The board installed was so heavy that we couldnĆ¢ā¬ā¢t lift it o Both Bed strut brackets broke o Corner molding splintered & broke because of the weight. o Slide would not operate correctly due to the extra weight - Jack circuit breaker needed amperage increased - Needs caulking replaced on roof and only two years old - No front jack remote control as advertised by sticker on trailer when purchased - Living room slides do not go in all the way first time, they must be moved in and out three or four times to get in all of the way - Toilet flush valve sometimes sticks flooding bowl if not watched Again, any information that can be provided will be greatly appreciated. Best 5th Wheel for the money!
By Jimmy Wilbanks (I am an Enthusiast) on Sep 21, 2012I just saw this thing at the Dallas RV show last weekend and it is awesome! The living area up front is so cool, it is like a theater room and makes it seem so much more spacious than the bedroom being upstairs like usual. The flatscreen and the fireplace with the stacked stone and the two couches on ... slideouts make it really like a home living room. The materials are all top notch and the doors are all real wood and not that plastic crap. The microwave is a full home-size stainless steel model and not a mini-microwave as in most others. The fridge in the slideout makes for a much more spacious kitchen. There is a real King bed where most have queens and nice closet space and stackable w/d hookups. My only couple of small beefs with the 3750FL is there are no nightstands at all. The king bed is a tradeoff but they could have done some type of little stands but if you can settle for a queen then their other models have night stands. Also, the bathroom sink and countertop are very small. I saw other similar models that give you a little more counterspace. Also, some other manufacturers have a little outdoor mini-kitchen with a mini-fridge, microwave, sink, and bbq slideout but this one does not. The 3750FL will sleep 5 comfortably with two in the master, one on one of the front room couches and two on the other front room couch that is a hideaway with an air bed inside rather than a yucky old mini-mattress. I did not get to try it out but I would think an airbed would be much better than those dinky little hideaway beds where the middle bar goes right through your back. This thing is truly luxurious and you can tell they put a lot into it, even the bedroom dresser/wall unit is on a slide-out so it gives much more space. They had it for sale at the RV show for $56k so those "suggested retail prices" seem more like a gimmick to make you think you are paying less than you actually should. I walked through every other similar unit from every other brand at the RV show and this one was my favorite. If you have a big family and want a "bunk house" for the kids with an extra half bath then there are other models available but if it is primarily a couple without kids or a small family then this is the nicest rig you are going to find for up to a price range of about $90k.Rating breakdown

Too hot
By Rick Gallant (I am an Owner) on Jul 28, 2012I recently bought a new Dutchmen Infinity 3750FL...For the most part it's a pretty nice rig except for cooling capabilities or lack there-of. I live in the north-east and yes we have had a warm summer so far, but the coach is simply incapable of cooling itself during summer weather. We have had low ... to mid 90's and the rig would struggle to achieve interior temp's of 85-86 with all shades drawn and AC on high all day.... It was never indicated to me that the system was incapable of cooling the coach or I would have added a optional second AC when I placed the order.... after all, if I wanted to be uncomfortable- I would use my boys scouting tents! I have recently learned that Dutchmen has been having issues with other customers that have the model that I have and are changing the design, layout/location of the AC on current units and moving forward. The service manager at the dealer suggests/confirms that a single AC is insufficient to cool the coach. I have been in direct contact with Dutchmen warranty/customer service dept , their solution is to add a second AC unit , unfortunately Dutchmen is unwilling to rectify the problem and expects me to simply pay for modifications/corrections. It is my opinion that Dutchmen should step up and correct the problem as it is clearly an improper design, both location and size of the system. My last camper was a 30 foot 1995 Jayco Eagle, the single AC unit could turn the interior into a fridge with no problem at all, my line of thinking would suggest that newer equipment would be better and more efficient, and todayĆ¢ā¬ā¢s enormous prices would come complete with good customer service and accountability but thatĆ¢ā¬ā¢s not the world we live inĆ¢ā¬Ā¦.Rating breakdown

nice unit
By stan (I am an Owner) on Jul 20, 2012love the layout. Had some problems with the automatic leveling sysytem. You still have to get the unit almost level. Can't be no more then 3 degrees out of level and the exhaust fan in bathroom should be a remote control because the ceiling is about 10 foot can't reach to open and close, could use some ... more storage compartments, other then that I love the unit.Rating breakdown
