Disappointment
By Folmar (I am an Owner) on Oct 14, 2011Kitchen and bathroom poorly designed. No countertop to work in kitchen or storage. Bathroom had no holders and no place for towels. Under the bed storage half what our other 5th wheel had. Shower didn't work after getting to park and setting up..had to return next day. Frig door dented and table ... top cheaply glued, both needed replacing. Stuck with it but plan to trade very soon and will be wiser next time.Rating breakdown

Extremely comftorable and useable
By Dale Swinamer (I am an Owner) on Jun 08, 2011Our Alpine has been great from day one. I picked it up from the dealership in August during a 100 degree heat wave. When I arrived the AC had it at 68 inside. On the 2000 mile trip to get it home it pulled excellent. Towards the end of the trip a couple screws in the plastic fenders had rattled loose ... and needed to be tightened but no big deal. After using it for the past year it has been great. I did have to add some silicone in the shower to stop a small leak that I found. The interior has a very nice feel and is very well laid out. The fireplace at the back helps keep it nice and toasty in the cold(and helps cut down on the propane bill). I would recommend this RV to anyone wanting a lot of space or a comftorable environment for extended stays. The couch and chairs do seem to be cheaply made and are wearing quicker than I would like, but I would put that on keystone's choice of furniture and not the the rv's construction/ quality. If I could go back and do it over again I would buy this same 5th wheel because so far nothing has compared.Rating breakdown

Keystone Alpine 2011' 3500RE owner review
By Ted Osowski (I am an Owner) on Nov 01, 2010Love the design and engineering of this fifth wheel. Also, it pulls well with my GMC 2500HD Duramax and Allison transmission w/Firestone air bag support suspension (recommend the TrailAir, as it really cushions the pull) However, the workmanship on the 2011 (purchased Oct '11) is TERRIBLE, and I cannot ... recommend this trailer to others until they improve their workmanship and quality assurance on the Alpine. Some examples of what I have come across: 1> A cabinet screw drilled straight through the pantry wall and into a PEX water line that flooded the bottom of the trailer the first time the black water backwash feature was used. 2> Improperly installed heater gas line that prevented one of the outlet vent lines from being connected to the unit...they just left it open instead of installing it properly, causing no duct heat to the back of the trailer 3> Beware of loose plumbing fittings, causing both drain and supply leaks...I've had to re-tighten almost all of these 4> Poorly insulated storage tanks, despite advertised specs( discovered after PEX flooding into lower cavity) 5> Loose screws on cargo door latches 6> Unusually loud furnace motor 7> Poor documentation for complicated Cable/Sat hookups. 8> Leaky shower install (poor silicon sealant work) Hope this helps...if you are going to buy one of these now, be there when the dealer inspects/tests EVERYTHING, but especially the water supply/drainage hookups.Rating breakdown
