Love this Camper!
By JoAnne (I am an Owner) on Aug 07, 2012As lifetime campers with 2 kids that are getting older we have been looking for the perfect camper for ourselves for a number of years. Our girls still camp with us and we figure the extra bunks would be great for other family and friends too even once they stop. After all this thing only weighs ~4400# ... anyway. We did seriously consider the Premier 19' for about the same price as the Bullet 23' which is this model, what we bought. We've owned it several months now and have made several long and short trips, close to home and far away. We love the layout, love the fact that the slide can be in and there is still plenty of room to move about which is important if you're planning on stopping along the way for snacks, meals and bathroom breaks. We tow it with a Ram 2500 so we have plenty of power for this camper. We added a weight distribution hitch and it tows level and even. We have the Comfort 2 package as well so the electric tongue, black tank rinse, motion light, battery switch and so on were included. We only had one issue with the camper so far and that was that one of the four motors for the slide out was not good. No biggie, our dealer replaced it under warranty and quickly. The camper is well made (coming from someone that has rebuilt one) and has nice options with a logical layout. It could afford some more drawers but we just added a couple plastic storage drawers from Target and they fit nice and snug. We plan on eventually swapping out all the bulbs for LEDs but that's because we do a lot of dry camping. We camped two weeks with 5 of us, mostly adult and 2 chocolate lab dogs and we weren't in each others way at all. It's a nice size, not so big that it's a pain to maneuver or tow, not so small that you feel cramped. We also had some light upgrades in ours such as the one over the dining table, it's the same as the Premiers. But our camper was ordered for the shows but we bought it before they could use it. If you can upgrade that one light I would. I've added my own touches and try to make it less cookie cutter but that's what happens when you buy a new camper and not a remodel like my last one. I have no regrets about buying this want, not a need, camper and would recommend it to a couple looking for lots of room, a growing family a family like mine with kids on their way to independence (I hope!) or a family up to 5 people. The dinette makes a comfy bed or so I am told by our guest. The appliances work great too, the fridge stays nice and cold and even on LP or electric. Nice placement of the stove and oven, although it would be nice if the cabinet under the stove was actually a draw but I store my pots and pans there anyway. The bit of carpet in the dinette makes it homey and the rest of the flooring is ideal for camping as it hides any dirt but cleans up so easy. Plenty of storage (just lacks drawers like I mentioned already, only 2 under the sink) but besides my 2 big Target drawers I also have little portable drawer units and storage bins from our many years of camping already. I like to have a place for everything and I am happy to find I do.
