Beware!
By John Ross (I am an Owner) on Oct 22, 2020We bought our 2019 Puma with a dream in our hearts and adventure in our future. What we got was migranes, heartache and disappointment. First off, beware of the dealer/manufacturer volleyball game they play with you over warranties. Neither wants to repair the poorly made trailer they sell you and you're ... bounced back and forth. On our first trip, the toilet leaked. Then the outdoor speakers didn't work. We had to have the interior trim restapled, but now the bathroom door trim is falling off. The water heater leaks carbon monoxide into the living area and sets the alarm off when there's a light breeze outside. The leveling jacks blow the fuse almost each time we use them. Now the trim on the outside is peeling off (keep in mind this trailer is only a year and a half old) and the plastic fenders are cracking. The shower pan which was used a total of 4 times cracked and is unusable and the debate rages between us and the dealer on who is going to pay for it. The DVD player stopped working on our fourth trip and again, when we contacted the dealer, they made it sound like it was our fault the thing is falling apart. We're in our 50s, we don't party-hardy, we bought it to travel the country and now are afraid to do so. The dealership was closed during the COVID lockdowns, yet again made it sound like it was our fault for not getting it in for repairs DURING THE LOCKDOWN. These trailers are mass produced and quickly made with substandard materials and labor, with cheap and often forgotten parts that the dealer and the manufacturer battle over who is going to pay for the replacement (here's your answer: YOU) stay away from any new trailer until you are completely sure what you are buying isn't a pile of cheap junk on an axle. Our last trailer lasted 20 years and we wanted to treat ourselves to a newer model. Some treat. More like trick or treat. We got the trick. The dealer got our $29,000.00 and we get confusing letters from the manufacturer about our extended warranty. Be aware! Be sure and most of all--get the dealer to write down what they will fix, if they won't, then you'll get little or nothing for your hard earned dollar.Rating breakdown
