Nice Travel Trailer for First Timers
By David S. (I am an Owner)First a few disclaimers. I believe all travel trailers are somewhat flimsy, by design, with the goal of light weight. Second, this is my first travel trailer so I have no baseline for comparison. We are a young retired couple, with two 18# dogs, that wanted a travel trailer big enough to stay in for ... a couple months at a time yet, small enough for most campgrounds. I had previously purchased a Silverado with a 10,000 pound hauling capacity. The tracer 24rks is around 5,500 dry and cargo rated for another 2,000 pounds, well within the trucks caoacity. We took some pretty hilly routes, East Coast mountains and were able to maintain speed, some down shifting of course but no surprise hauling 7,000# with a 1500. The camper itself has an aluminum frame and laminated exterior making for light weight and a durable/modern exterior.
