RV Shipments Up 4.5% in April

According to a release from the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association, RV shipments to retailers were up 4.5% in April, compared to the same month last year. A total of 40,064 RVs made their way to retailers in April – more than 1,700 more than in April of 2015.
Towable RVs provided the largest unit gains, while all motorhomes improved by the largest percentage gains, representing 12.5% of all RV shipments this month.
Year to date, total RV shipments have reached 148,259 units this year, which is the best start to any year since 2006 and the second best start since 1977.
