Folding campers are popular with families for a variety of reasons. They are compact, easy to tow and affordable. And the 2011 Palomino P-Series Folding Trailer is no exception. Ideal for roaming the country thanks to its compact, easy towing size, the P-Series is a great choice for campers who want value without sacrificing quality and comfort.

Equipped with all you need for fun family vacations and weekend outings, the P-Series is available in three roomy floor plans. No matter which one you go with, you can be assured that they are all built using quality construction that will provide you with many years of happy memories and long lasting value. We’re going to take a closer look at the 2100LTD. It weighs in with a dry hitch weight of 243 lbs., a dry axle weight of 1,394 lbs., an unloaded vehicle weight of 1,637 lbs. and a cargo carrying capacity of 696 lbs. In the way of measurements, it has an exterior length when open of 20 ft. 2 in., an exterior length when closed of 13 ft. 10 in., an exterior height when closed of 4 ft. 8 in. and an exterior width of 85 in.

Ensuring that it’s easy to tow and that it stands up to the rigors of the camping life, the folks at Palomino built the 2100LTD tough, from the ground up. Using a 3″ tubular steel frame with powder coat, an exterior aluminum surface and a Filon fiberglass one-piece roof, this folding trailer will take anything the bumpy roads and the elements will throw at it. It’s easy to set up as well, thanks to four B.A.L. jacks with sand pads. Window curtains and vented bed end curtains give you privacy while allowing air to circulate, as does a side mounted roof vent (the roof is also air conditioner ready). Enjoy a morning coffee or just take in the beautiful view under the nine foot awning. Other features include a 25 AMP converter with battery charger, an entry step, a five-piece tent, an LP bottle, a spare tire and bracket, and an 18-gallon under floor water tank.

Making the most of every inch of space, the 2100LTD interior comes with just what you need to make outdoor living that much more comfortable. Outfitted in Copper decor, the P-Series features an array of amenities designed to take camping up a notch. Other finishing touches include wallpaper, interior wood finish and curtains and shades.

When you walk inside, you’ll notice the spacious open-concept living area. Just to the right is a massive storage area that’s great for keeping camping essentials and other necessities you’ll need on the road. The kitchen area offers space to whip up a quick meal on the go, thanks to its two burner stove that can also be moved outside if you ever feel like cooking surrounded by nature. For clean up and food prep, the kitchen also comes with a handy sink and countertop. Once your meals are cooked, enjoy it while sitting around the booth dinette (the seats pull double duty when they flip up to reveal plenty of extra storage room).

With space to sleep up to six campers, the P-Series comes equipped with two separate sleeping areas found on either end of the trailer. In the rear of the trailer are double bunks (54 inches) while a queen-sized bed can be found up front (measuring in at 60 inches).

And there’s no need to head to the outhouse in the middle of the night – the P-Series comes equipped with a private cabinet with a compact toilet.

If the standards aren’t enough, the P-Series comes with a host of options. You can control your living environment with the 20,000 BTU suburban furnace, 13,500 BTU air conditioner and a Create-A-Breeze fan. Upgrade the kitchen with a three-way 2 cu. ft. Dometic refrigerator and a hanging pantry. Other handy options include aluminum wheels, a battery box, a bunk light with a fan, double LP gas bottles with cover, electric brakes, an outside gas grill, Potti privacy drape, a screen room with privacy flaps and heated mattresses.

The 2011 Palomino P-Series 2100LTD Folding Trailer retails for an affordable $6,525. For more information, visit http://www.palominorv.com/.
