The Sunseeker’s unique design maximizes space and minimizes clutter. So popular is the Sunseeker that Forest River offers 19 different floorplans. We’ll be exploring the 3050S, built on a reliable Ford chassis.

Getting to the specs, the Sunseeker’s gross vehicle weight rating is 14,500 lbs and its gross combined weight rating is 22,000 lbs. If you break out the measuring tape, you’ll find the 3050S has an exterior length of 31’11”, exterior height of 11’3″ and exterior width of 101″. Its wheelbase is 220″ and its awning size is 18 ft. Capacities include a 55-gallon fuel tank, 44-gallon fresh water tank and 39-gallon black and gray water tanks.

Sunseeker purchasers receive a 12-month warranty. This model is vacuum bonded with aluminum frame construction, steel backers and block foam insulation. Sidewalls are gel coated and laminated, while holding tanks and valve dump stations are heated and enclosed. The integrated entry step contains an Easy Access batter compartment. To wash up mud and grime, an outside shower is standard equipment, as is a spare tire, roof ladder and deluxe break-away mirrors. The entry door has a screen and is protected by a dead bolt door lock, while pass-through storage compartments are also lockable.

Step into the cab and you’ll appreciate the 7″ touch-screen AM/FM radio with CD/DVD, USB, aux, weather band and blue tooth. Essentially, you have everything you need to keep you awake and your passenger entertained. If you are driving endlessly on a secluded freeway, turn on your cruise control and close your cab area privacy curtains. The 3050S comes with a keyless entry, which is exclusive to the Ford chassis only. Power windows, door locks and dual 12 volt power points all come standard.

When you initially walk into the Sunseeker, you can’t help but notice the beautiful cabinetry. You can choose between cherry and maple, finished off with bronze handles that add class to the space. Nightshades are pleated and block sunlight effectively. Other amenities include a comfy two-way sofa, which has removable arms and converts into a bed. Eat your meals at the dream dinette or the U-shaped dinette. If your family members like keeping up to date on their favourite shows, then get the 24″ flat panel TV with DVD. If you’re very serious about entertainment then you can also request a cab over entertainment center, equipped with a 32″ television.

RV bathrooms are usually small in size and limited in storage space, but the Sunseeker is different. Along with the essentials – porcelain toilet, electric roof vent fan and molded ABS shower pan¬¬ – the bathroom offers an array of features you’ll appreciate on the road. A large medicine cabinet is equipped with mirrored cabinet doors; deep sink with a dual control faucet; showerhead with flexible hose; frosted glass shower door; shower skylight soaks in sunlight; and, wall-mounted mirror. The Bath Amenity Package includes a towel rack and holders for tissues, toothbrushes and soaps.

Move into the master bedroom to find an innerspring mattress sitting on a Queen sized bed, covered in a soft bedspread with pillow shams. Keep your books and telephones on both nightstands – one on each side of the bed. You can store your blouses and ties in the shirt closet or one of two wardrobes, while your bedding and towels can be stored

in a linen closet. Although the bed takes up most of the bedroom area, the room is significantly larger than many other Class C homes. For those who like falling asleep to the murmurs of a television, the room is equipped with a TV area that comes with a receptacle and a cable TV jack. The bedroom is the quietest room of the house because it’s furthest from high-traffic rooms – the living room and kitchen.

Cooking is easy in the 3050S. The galley is equipped with residential-style drawer construction with solid wood fronts and ball-bearing drawer guides. This makes the drawers easy to open and close, while allowing you to store more things inside. A flip-up countertop extension takes up little space in the room but provides more space to chop vegetables. The three-burner range comes with an oven so you can make a stir-fry for dinner and chocolate chip cookies for dessert. If you prefer heating up TV dinners, then use the microwave oven. The 6 cu. ft. refrigerator comes with a freezer and provides ample space to store your fruits, sauces and cold cuts. The sink is equipped with a high-neck faucet and comes with a sink cover so that you can hide any dirty dishes that might be in plain sight.

The 2013 Forest River Sunseeker 3050S Class C sells for around $100,000. For more information visit: http://www.forestriverinc.com/.
