The 2019 Forest River Sunseeker 2420 MS packs everything a young family of four needs for road trip adventures into a nice, compact package.

Available in several different series and chassis options, the Sunseeker line offers a total of 25 different floorplan options. In the regular Ford chassis series, there are eight to choose from.

The Forest River Sunseeker 2420MS has a gross vehicle weight rating of 14,500 lbs, gross combined weight rating of 22,000 lbs, and tow rating of 7500 lbs. It measures just over 27’ long, 11’3” high, and 101” wide. It has a fuel tank capacity of 55 gallons, a fresh water tank capacity of 44 gallons, and 39-gallon capacity for each of the gray and black water tanks.

Built on a Ford chassis, the Sunseeker 2420MS has 2” laminated sidewalls on an aluminum frame, a light waterproof composite material (Azdel), block foam insulation, and gel coat exterior fiberglass, including a seamless one-piece front cap.

Other outside features include tinted frameless windows, heated remote exterior mirrors, roof ladder and power entry step, and outside shower. There’s ample outside storage, thanks in part to the motorhome’s split level design, which allows for taller pass-through compartments at the rear. A four-point automatic leveling system is available as an option.

An 18’ power awning with LED light strip adds outdoor living space and somewhere sheltered to watch the optional 28” outside TV.

Inside, the 7’ ceiling height and slide help give a more spacious feel, while the raised panel hardwood cabinetry – available in two finish options – make it feel more like a home.

In the cab area you’ll find a 7” touchscreen radio with USB and Bluetooth, color back-up camera, side view cameras, swivel driver and passenger seat, and power driver seat. The cab over bunk sleeps two and has a window on each side for a nice cross breeze. A 40” TV in this area articulates out so it can be watched from the rest of the motorhome as well.

In the motorhome’s main living area, a U-shaped dinette has two safety belts to keep the kids safe on the road. It has lots of space for game night or family meals and then converts into sleeping space for two.

The kitchen has all the amenities for prepping basic meals: a recessed three-burner cooktop with flush glass, range hood with fan and light, convection microwave oven, and six-cubic-foot double door gas/electric refrigerator with raised wood paneling. Making prep and clean-up a little easier, there’s a double bowl stainless steel sink with sink covers for added counter space, flip-up countertop extension, and pull-down high rise faucet.

Forest River put the toilet in its own private room, closed off by a space-efficient pocket door, which means that the shower and sink area at the rear of the home can be used by someone else at the same time. The shower is quite roomy and has a flexible extension and skylight. The vanity sink has a sink cover so that you have a little extra countertop space when you need it. In this back area there’s also an open closet area with hanging rods.

The queen size bed has a memory foam mattress, overhead cabinetry and reading lights and if you enjoy nighttime movies, you can opt for a second inside television.

The entire bedroom area can be closed off for privacy with a retractable folding door.

The 2019 Forest River Sunseeker 2420MS starts at about $88,000. For more information, visit ForestRiverInc.com.
