You’re always on the go, and not only are you active, but you’re also environmentally conscious. You’re looking for a trailer that embodies all of that, plus shows off your creative side and is built with quality. We’re here to tell you that there’s an RV that covers all your requirements – the 2012 Heartland MPG Travel Trailer.

This new micro-lightweight line of travel trailers comes in four unique floorplans, as well as four different exterior graphics colors and two-tone interior styling. It’s got individual style and it can be towed by many popular crossover vehicles and smaller SUVs. Today, we’re going to be taking a closer look at the MPG 185, the second largest plan in the series. It measures in a width of 8′ 0″, a height of 9’6”, a length of 19’2 and 101 square feet of living space.

In order to keep the MPG strong while ensuring it stays light, Heartland uses a combination of laminated sidewalls, floor and roof that offer noise reduction, thermal insulation and durability. Thanks to its aerodynamic exterior and lightweight construction, it’s easy to tow and cuts down on your fuel costs. The exterior also mirrors your individuality – you can pick a color and graphics package that reflects your style, or choose to go with the platinum gray fiberglass gel coat that gives it the high-end look of full body paint at a reasonable price.

Style doesn’t stop there – you’ll find attention to detail right down to the MPG’s stylish, retro, molded ABS, tear drop shaped fenders with LED marker lights and flashy five spoke aluminum wheels. Don’t let the retro look fool you. Its LED lighting is not only flashy, it also improves safety with brighter tail lights and marker lights, and these LED lights consume less energy and last longer than traditional bulb type tail lights and marker lights.

Rinsing out the black tank is a pain, but the MPG tries to make it as simple as possible. Its built-in black tank flush flushes out all the solids so you never have to get your hands dirty. And speaking of making your life on the road simpler, it also comes equipped with detachable power cords that are easy to manage, untangle and carry 30 amps of power. Other water and power features include a gas/electric DSI water heater, water heater bypass system and 20,000 BTU furnace and 12V water pump.

You’ve got a lot of stuff to bring along with you, and Heartland has thought of that. With the MPG’s pass-through storage, you can bring along your fishing poles, skis, golf clubs and more, so you can enjoy your holidays doing what you love. It also comes with a built-in bike rack receiver hitch, a convenient way to transport bikes that’s easily removable.

Even though the MPG is compact, you’ve still got a lot of room when it comes to deciding what the interior will look like. There are four decor options to pick from – Aztec Brown, Jewel, Canyon and Taupe – as well as two cabinetry choices – two-tone Mocha or Cherry – so your RV reflects your personal taste. Underfoot, you’ll find Beauflor, a resilient floor covering that’s cushy and features a non-slip textured surface. One of the great benefits about Beauflor is that it is durable and resists cracking in extreme temperature changes, so you can enjoy it for many years to come. Other interior amenities include solid lumber core cabinet fronts assembled with screws, raised panel cabinet doors with a glazed finish, hardwood drawer fronts with full extension metal glides, decorative window treatments and night shades.

Just because you’re away from home doesn’t mean you have to miss out on any of the comforts that go along with it. The MPG 185 lets you lounge in style and comfort. Sit back on the sofa and enjoy the AM/FM/CD/DVD player that comes complete with USB/MP3 ports, as well as an optional 19-inch LCD TV.

Forget cooking over an open fire – although, there’s nothing wrong with that, but sometimes you just want something to eat quickly so you can start your day. It’s a good thing that the MPG comes with a two-burner cooktop, a 4.5 cubic foot refrigerator and a microwave to keep you well fed and on your way. If you’re not in a hurry, enjoy your meals sitting around the inside/outside dinette table. This freestanding unit lets you to move the table around to accommodate guests, and folding legs make it a snap to take it outside or collapse for more sleeping room.

After a long, sweaty day outdoors, freshen up in the convenient commode room. The bathrooms comes with a unique molded one piece shower surround, built-in sink, flexible shower head, sink, stool and decorative shower curtain with tieback.
