Combining the automotive performance of a luxury vehicle with the amenities and style of a first-class RV, the 2012 Winnebago View Class C Motorhome has it all. Boasting a sleek aerodynamic exterior and a spacious interior, the View gives you a new outlook on camping.


There are two View floorplans to choose from, so we’ll be taking a closer look at the 24M, the newest plan in the series. It measures in with a length of 24’6”, exterior height of 11’3”, exterior width of 7’6”, interior height of 6’8”, interior width of 7’3” and comes with 34 cubic feet of exterior storage space. In terms of weight, it has a GCWR of 15,250 lbs, GVWR of 11,030 lbs, front GAWR of 4,410 and rear GAWR of 7,720 lbs. For water storage, it comes with freshwater capacity (with heater) of 38 gallons, black water capacity of 32 gallons and gray water capacity of 36 gallons.


Built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis, the View is powered by a fuel-efficient 188-hp turbo-diesel engine. With its nimble maneuverability, adaptive ESP technology, four-wheel ABS and five-speed automatic transmission with tip shift, the View is fun to drive. Built with SuperStructure construction, SmartSpace design and Smart Storage solutions, the View is designed to not only stand up to the elements, but also to make the most of the space available. As well, it also comes with a 5,000-lb. hitch and stainless steel wheel liners.

All systems are a-go on the View. You’ll find all of the connection points conveniently located and identified with color-coded labels, making hookups a breeze. This class C motorhome comes equipped with the QuickPort service connection hatch, so you can close the service bay door with the hook ups still connected. Plus, its TrueLevel Tank Monitoring System harnesses sonar technology gives you accurate readings every time.


Giving you all of the comforts of home, the View keeps things hot and cool with a 13,500 BTU roof-mounted high-efficiency air conditioner and a 20,000 BTU furnace, which means you can travel throughout all of the four seasons. In the way of power, it comes with two deep-cycle Group 24 RV batteries, a service center light, cable TV input, 30-amp. power cord, portable satellite dish hookup, QuickPort service connection hatch, automatic dual-battery charge control and AC/DC load center, and a 45-amp. converter/charger.

Other exterior features include automatic entrance door steps, ladder, porch light, step well light, front and rear mud flaps and premium high-gloss skin. Available exterior options include patio awning, electric patio awning with a metal wrap and exterior speakers with remote control extender.


Come on inside and take a look around. Outfitted in Redwood, Platinum or Pecan decor, the 24M View Class C motorhome boasts Mocha Cherry or Sunset Cherry cabinetry, highlighted by satin nickel hardware. Other interior features include MCD American Solo blackout roller shades, mini blinds, tinted windows and a soft vinyl ceiling.

Up front in the cab, you’ll have no problems navigating the open roads. The View’s comfortable cab seats have adjustable lumbar support, recline, swivel and are available in premium Ultraleather. Listen to music or find out what the traffic situation is with the RV Radio that comes with an easy access touch screen. The cab also comes with a rearview monitor to help you back up and built-in pleated shades.


Pleasantly spacious, the 24M View’s living area has plenty of places to sit, including the cab seats that swivel. For even more versatility, this class C RV comes with both the Bench-Mark dinette and the Comfort Sofa Sleeper that easily folds out into a bed with an inflatable mattress. Overhead, you can choose to customize with a 26″ LCD TV mounted on a telescoping swivel bracket for optimal viewing flexibility or a bunk with a 19″ LCD TV over the door. The coach stereo system comes complete with CD/DVD, as well as Sirius Satellite with a six-month complimentary subscription.

In its contemporary galley, the View comes with fully extendable drawers for all your cooking essentials. Get things cooking with a microwave/convection oven, a refrigerator and the range top that comes with a glass cover for added countertop space. Giving it that contemporary look, this stylish galley features a cool backsplash, stainless steel refrigerator façade and wood sink cover. You can also choose to upgrade with the cold water filtration system.


The bedroom is located just over the cab, and it comes with all the essentials you need for a good night’s sleep, including a foam mattress, underbed storage, mattress cover, pillows and pillow shams. The View also comes with a bathroom. Here, you’ll find a retractable self-cleaning shower door, a flexible showerhead, a skylight, a porcelain toilet and a water-pump switch.
