Fleetwood Providence 40k
By Rob Scarpa (I am an Owner)Had two gas rigs prior and was looking for better ride and durability. This is the worst riding rig and if I could get my gas rig back I'd take it it a minute. Had a slight shimmy at 45-55 along with a clunk in the front end. Took it to three Freightliner facilitys and they all said front was tight. ... One said generator rail was the clunk. Took it to lazy days and they found the clunk to be loose shocks. Balance tires and the. Shimmy went bad between 55-65. They too said all in front was tight. Finally drove 800 miles rt to Gafney who tried everything and said it was tires. Problem is it comes and goes. Sent me down the road to Goodyear who was adamant it was front tires. Sold me tires and allignment and guess what. ITS STILL THERE! Unit came from factory with sewer pan installed backwards, container door not near flush, a number of plumbing leaks, etc which dealers said they couldn't do anything with. I ended up fixing some of the leaks myself! I could go on with a host of other things but bottom line is for the money I paid for this supposedly top of line model I would expect better quality control coming off the line as well as someone who knows what they are doing when going in for service. Oh, lastly, front cabinet over the dr side has dropped an inch or so and Fleetwood said they are not sure they will warranty it? It's being held up with wooden dowl so it doesn't drop any futhher. Was recommended I get shimmy fixed before cabinet as felt it may be the cause.Read More
