Poorest quality RV one can imagine
By Taras Diduck (I am an Owner) on May 25, 2018Our one time retirement trip was highlighted with 12 trips to repair shops. Here is a list of defects:- awning lights work sporadically- fridge stopped working- hot water heater need repair 3 times- wheel alignment not right from the start causing premature tire wear and parts not originally installed ... - stove stopped working - moulding around wheels on driver side came off from wind from oncoming traffic - windshield wipers stopped working (dash had to practically be removed to find fuse box - windshield washer pump needed replacement - poorly installed flanges on table fell off - shower drain leaked (what a mess) - leak under kitchen sink leaked underneath causing water absorption and warping(counter is cheap pressed sawdust) of counter top - counter, sink and faucet all needed to be replaced (I built the new one out of plywood and replaced the cheap plastic sink with stainless steel. - water pump valve leaked causing flow of city water into fresh water tank causing overflow and a floods outside - drawer stops came off because small brad nails rather than screws cannot hold things in place. Same with other moldings that needed screws and glue - cheap inner panels in door fell off because glue spot glued only here and there - This is only cosmetic but a reflection of poor care of construction - molding around front window cut leaving half inch gaps between window and molding, wallpaper has wrinkles throughout - things under dash rattle - small sheet metal to hold plywood under computer table for battery access. Where else would one have to take apart a dash to get at the chassis battery as one cannot get at it from the front. One has to be a contortionist to remove the battery. - rear passenger side window does not fit tight and when it is windy and rainy, bed gets wet. - probably more that I have forgotten about We had one shot at a retirement trip. So much for a dream vacation that added a few thousand dollars of unexpected expenses. I agree with others that Ford and Thor pass the buck. But in Ford's favor, Thor has replaced almost everything Ford other than what was Ford in the front end so Ford will not fix it (example the windshield washer pump is a cheap version of what Ford has and Ford's serial number is not helpful for buying replacement parts). One uses the RV for a few weeks and a few miles one summer, parks it for the winter and when it is time for the second year, the warranty is up. Funny how all this came to light just as the warranty ran out and Thor just does not seem to care. They ended up refusing to return my calls. The customer service people are polite but they have no authority to make an exception and anyone who does will not return my calls. My advice is take the feedback on Thor seriously (other than the feedback on the Thor site itself)and look at competitors like Pleasureway, Roadtrek, Leisure Travel, Coachman, Entegra, Jayco all of which are far superior in quality - but they do cost a little more.Rating breakdown

2015 Thor Axis 24.1
By Mitch Schifer (I am an Owner) on Aug 13, 2017I think they really lack quality control. First thing found was a small hole in our awning with a small piece of masking tape over it to hide the hole. They did replace the awning because it was new but it took 2 months without the use of our motorhome. Next thing that went wrong was the drain in the ... shower had been put together with a stripped plastic drain pipe nut that leaked while we was on vacation. Fixed it myself but had to find parts and stuff in the middle of nowhere.Replaced the cheap extenders for the tires so I could check the air in the inside tires. The water pump lost all pressure one time camping when we got home found out that it was clogged with sawdust and small plastic pieces that must have been in the water tank from the factory.Rating breakdown

Worst Purchase EVER
By James R. Rohan (I am an Owner) on Jun 23, 2015I purchase this unit from Camping World, Bath, NY in September 2014 and due to so many and current issues have not been able to use to date. Also, the workmanship if constructing this unit looks as though a 2 or 3 year old child put it together. I have file under state Lemon Law to return this unit ... for full refund, no results to date. Have not received sufficient assistance from Thor customer service or Camping World sales and/or service staff. DO NOT recommend this unit to anyone.Rating breakdown
