Itasca’s 2013 Sunova Class A motorhome boasts a host of premium amenities with a price tag that won’t break the bank.

With four floorplans to choose from, we’re going to take a look at the 30A, a new model in the series. The 30A has a length of 31’1″, exterior height of 12’6″, exterior width of 8’5.5″, interior height of 6’8″, interior width of 8’0.5″, and 66.4 cubic feet of exterior storage. For weight, it has a GCWR of 26,000 lbs, GVWR of 22,000 lbs, front GAWR of 8,000 lbs, and rear GAWR of 15,000 lbs. In the way of water, it has a freshwater capacity of 86 gallons, black water capacity of 38 gallons, and gray water capacity of 53 gallons. As well, it comes with a 35,000 BTU low-profile ducted furnace and two high-efficiency roof air conditioners with an energy management system.

Starting with a Ford F53 chassis, the Sunova gets you across the country with a 362 hp 6.8L Super Duty V10 SEFI Triton engine, TorqShift 5-speed automatic transmission with tow haul, Hydro-Max power brakes, four-wheel ABS, and 175-amp alternator. Using the SuperStructure construction system, this Class A motorhome combines Thermo-Panel sidewalls, interlocking joints and a solid foundation for strength and durability.

Giving it the strength it needs to last countless vacations, the Sunova utilizes durable, lightweight Thermo-Panel sidewalls. These sidewalls combine fiberglass, high-density block-foam insulation aluminum support structures. On its top, there is a crowned, one-piece fiberglass roof that is backed by a 10-year limited parts-and-labor roof skin warranty.

To add to its safety and stability, the Sunova’s cabinets and appliances are secured using metal substructures. Protecting its critical steel components is an electrodeposition coating, while specially engineered interlocking joints connect the floor, sidewalls, and roof into a cohesive unit.

There’s no reason why you have to move the party inside – this Itasca lets you hang outside to your heart’s content. An available exterior entertainment center includes a 32″ LCD TV, AM/FM stereo, DVD player and remote. If you need the extra shade, you can upgrade with a second powered patio awning.

Other exterior features of note include a main entrance with a screen door, automatic entrance door steps, porch light, lighted storage compartments, premium smooth high-gloss skin, KeyOne lock system, front mud flaps, ladder, and powered patio awning.

You have to come inside at some point in time, and when you do, you’ll be welcomed by Harvest, Plateau or Smoke Screen décor that’s highlighted by Honey Cherry, Forest Cherry or Coffee-Glazed Vienna Maple finish cabinetry with satin nickel hardware. You can upgrade to Ultraleather fabric that’s durable and easy to clean.

Get moving to your destination in the comfort of the Sunova’s cab. The cab seats let you drive comfortably, thanks to armrests, lumbar support, and multi-adjustable slide/recline/swivel options. The stereo system comes with AM/FM, CD/DVD player, alarm clock, front input jack, and remote. Plus, there’s a built-in dash workstation that allows the passenger to use a laptop computer. Other cab features include a power assist steering with tilt wheel, 12-volt powerpoint, cruise control, power mirrors with defrost, map lights, sunvisors, C.B. wire prep, cab wraparound curtain, and rearview color monitor system with one-way audio.

Take lounging to a new level in the Sunova’s living area. From the comfort of your Euro recliner or extendable sectional U-shaped dinette, watch your favorite shows on the large LCD HDTV that connects to the cab stereo system with DVD player. This entertainment unit also comes with an amplified antenna and is pre-wired for the available satellite dish. If you want to shield yourself from the sun’s rays, you can simply adjust the smoothly retracting MCD American Duo solar/blackout roller shades.

You won’t mind cooking for the family in the Sunova. Its kitchen comes fully equipped with a two-door refrigerator/freezer, microwave oven with a vented range fan, and three-burner range top. Giving this room a residential feel are Corian solid-surface countertop and sink covers, as well as a backsplash.

An elegant and sizable bedroom gives you plenty of reasons for going to bed early. Its queen-sized bed is outfitted with an innerspring mattress, bedspread, pillows and shams. There is plentiful wardrobe space and an available 26″ LED TV for your late-night viewing pleasure.

Next to the master bedroom is the well-equipped bathroom. In here, you’ll find all the necessities – shower, lavatory sink, and toilet. There are also a few extras, including thermo-formed laminated countertop, flexible showerhead, textured glass shower door, and skylight.

The 2013 Itasca Sunova 30A Class C Motorhome has a base MSRP of $123,858. For more information, visit http://www.goitasca.com/.
