If you’re hitting the road for the long-haul, the 2012 Heartland Landmark Fifth Wheel is a great choice for the full-timer looking for residential luxury and value.

If it’s just the two of you exploring, we’d suggest taking a look at the San Antonio floorplan. The San Antonio is 40’11” long, 12’11” tall and 8’ wide. It has a GVWR of 16,250 lbs, a dry weight of 13,488 and a hitch weight of 2,860 lbs. As well, it comes with a fresh water capacity of 104 gallons, a gray water capacity of 90 gallons, a black water capacity of 45 gallons and a 12-gallon water heater. To keep things comfortable at all times, no matter what the season, the San Antonio come with a 40,000 BTU furnace and a 15,000 BTU air conditioner.

The Heartland Landmark San Antonio is fairly long, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t travel well. The Landmark features Heartland’s Patented 88-Degree Turning Radius Design. Great for short-bed, extended-cab trucks, you won’t need to add on a slider hitch. This design allows you to maneuver street corners and safely back into camping sites.

Landmark’s laminated sidewalls, floor and roof are made strong and light construction, but still offer noise reduction, thermal insulation and durability. The laminated roof system features aluminum framing, thick block foam insulation, seamless decking and a durable rubber skin. On the floor is aluminum framing, thick block foam insulation, one-piece seamless decking and thermo-board luaun. Finally, the walls are constructed with welded lightweight heavy gauge aluminum. The empty space between structural members is filled with block foam insulation that is sandwiched between layers of luaun plywood and fiberglass.

If you’re on the road for long periods of time, you never know what to bring with you. That’s not a problem with the Landmark. It boasts 140 cubic feet of pass-through storage. Outfitted with durable vinyl diamond-plate finish that keeps your stuff in place during you’re moving, this extra-large compartment can store luggage, bins, sports equipment and more. And the storage area comes with slam baggage doors. These doors are equipped with heavy duty struts for easy operation, and they prevent closings due to wind. They also come with oversized pull latches, a tight automotive rubber seal and security locks.

Making set-up easy, the Landmark comes with the One-Touch Four-Point Hydraulic Auto Leveling System option. Levelling your fifth wheel in less than 30 seconds, you’ll have more time to chill out. The rear electric stabilizers make six points of contact with the ground, giving the RV more stability, the rear jacks are found behind the axles to support the load and the hydraulic jacks extend quickly.

The interior of the Landmark San Antonio is sure to impress with its stunning style and spacious design. The décor is highlighted with Amish-crafted hardwood glazed pecan interiors, including custom molding and real wood window trim. Cabinets all feature hidden hinges that are spring loaded for easy opening and snap close.

In the living area, the ultra-leather sofa houses a hide-a-bed air mattress that offers comfortable sleeping for guests. It’s easy to set up, as it comes with a built-in air pump that operates on 110V AC or battery power. It even comes with a storage drawer that’s perfect for linens, blankets, pillows and more. If you’re looking to entertain, the Landmark comes with an AM/FMCD/DVD/MP3 player that features wireless link technology, which lets you control the system from your Bluetooth enabled smartphone (you can even stream music from your phone and place or receive calls through the system). Other features you’ll find in the living area include decorative glass inserts in select overhead cabinet doors, a wrought iron sofa table, a 110V ceiling fan, a 42″ HD LCD TV, an electric fireplace and upgraded ultra-leather recliners.
