You like to roam the country in comfort and you need an RV that fits into your lifestyle (not to mention your budget). If that’s the case, then the 2012 Open Range Roamer Travel Trailer could be the perfect fit.

Available in eight travel trailer floorplans, we’ll be taking a look around the RT320RES, the second largest model in the series. It measures in with an exterior length of 34’6″, an exterior height of 140” and an exterior width of 100”. The Roamer has a GVWR of 9,990 lbs, and UVW of 7,505 lbs, a dry hitch weight of 845 lbs and a dry axle weight of 6,725 lbs. In the way of water, it comes equipped with a six-gallon water heater, a fresh water capacity of 50 gallons, a gray water capacity of 60 gallons and a waste water capacity of 30 gallons. This Open Range travel trailer also has a 30,000-BTU furnace and a 13,500-BTU ducted air conditioner.

What makes the 2012 Roamer different is its use of the Accu-Slide slideout cable system. Slideouts are a great way to give you extra living space, but sometimes the systems can be tricky to use. The Accu-Slide system is smooth and quiet, so there’s no jumping or jerking when it’s in motion. Since it features an above-floor design, the maintenance on the system is minimized, plus it gives you more storage area. Using high-strength stainless steel aircraft cable for control, there are no hydraulic lines to worry about. With cable control located at all four room corners, there are fewer leaks and all of the working components are found inside the trailer, safe from the elements.

Built so you’ll be enjoying the Roamer for plenty of future adventures, this travel trailer features a variety of construction elements that make it tough and durable. Using a five-sided welded aluminum superstructure, the 2″ laminated high gloss automotive metallic finished exterior wall not only protects this RV from flying debris, but gives it sleek style. The sidewalls come with an additional insulator, which offers noise reduction and is moisture, mold and swell resistant. The floor uses 1/2” thick durable plywood, while the roof features RVC rubber, making it lightweight, is ultra violet resistant and doesn’t require reconditioning.

The Roamer comes with exterior features that make life on the road that much simpler. A smooth ride is guaranteed, thanks to custom Dexter Wide Stance E-Z Lube axles, radial tires and Trail Air EquaFlex suspension. There’s a utility convenience center with compartment light, black tank flush, city water connection, cable/satellite hook-up, one pin receptacle, and outside shower, so you’ll find all the hook up essentials in one place. The Roamer’s double insulated 1″ thick radius baggage doors feature continuous one-piece hinge and interior fasteners, and its under-mount spare tire and carrier will come in handy if you get a flat.

Other exterior features include heated and enclosed holding tanks and dump valves, black frame deep tint safety glass windows, winterizing siphon hose, front and rear stabilizer jacks, a power awning and an optional outdoor grill.

Moving on to the interior of the 2012 Open Range Roamer, you’re greeted with a choice of Lifelong, Sedonna, or Pinto decor. For your storage needs, there’s plenty of cabinetry in every room, featuring hardwood cabinet door frames and drawer faces that are adorned by elegant Euro-style spring loaded hardware. On the floor, you’ll find seven-layer Beauflor vinyl flooring that cleans up easy and stands up to daily wear and tear.

Upon entering the RT320RES, you head straight into the kitchen. Here, you’ll find a six-cubic-foot refrigerator, a high output range with igniter, a 17’’ oven and a microwave. To store all your sundries, the kitchen comes with a pantry, and a convenient pull-out wastebasket makes cleanup easy.

The living area is up next, where most of your downtime will be spent. That’s because it’s outfitted with a table and chairs for meal times, as well as a sofa and two comfy chairs. For your entertainment, the Roamer comes equipped with a 32″ LCD TV and Jensen 12 Volt stereo with AM/FM/CD and DVD player and iPod/MP3/USB connections. If you really want to make it homey, you can choose to add an optional fireplace in the living area.

Heading to the bedroom, sleep will come easy on the 60” x 80” queen-sized bed, featuring a residential mattress. If you need extra storage space, no problem – the bed lifts up, thanks to Easy Lift Strut Assist that opens to reveal a full-depth base to store your clothes. Any overflow can be put away in the extra-deep chest of drawers that offers full extension for easy access.

Finally, our tour ends at the bathroom. It comes with everything you need for your daily toiletries – a shower, lav sink and toilet. It also features a linen closet, which will come in handy.
