Built for road trips and camping adventures, the Palomino Backpack Edition truck campers are designed to fit a wide range of trucks. If you’re looking for a light camper with the features of a large trailer, look no further.

There are three Hard Side floorplans to choose from, two Hard Side Max floorplans to choose from and seven Soft Side floorplans to choose from. We’ve decided to explore the Hard Side Max HS-2902 for its residential layout and efficient use of space. It has an exterior length of 19’, exterior width of 98”, floor length of 9’, wheel well of 48”, exterior height of 9’ and center of gravity of 37”. For tank capacities, the Palomino Backpack Edition HS-2902 has a fresh water capacity of 45 gallons, gray water capacity of 20 gallons and black water capacity of 20 gallons. It has a shipping weight of 3,261 lbs.

Palomino is known for its meticulous construction, so it is no surprise that the Backpack Edition is designed to be a reliable confederate on the road, outlasting even your truck. The HS-2902 comes with four corner manual jacks, an adapter for a cordless drill and portable solar connection. All the Backpack Edition units are prewired for power jacks and a backup camera. You have everything you need for a safe and easy trip.

On the outside, the HS-2902 looks modern and sporty. All Hard Side Max campers have a landing pad integrated bumper and a laminated walkable roof. The Palomino Backpack features a Vented Battery Box, Battery Quick Disconnect and a battery charging station. The optional rear and side awning comes with LED lights. If you’re all about good esthetics, you can request Pearl or Grey hi-gloss exterior fiberglass.

Palomino Backpack’s living quarters will make you feel right at home – or at a cozy family cottage. The interior is equipped with many of the same features you will find in a larger trailer. The wide windows soak in lots of sun, keeping the interior bright and cheery, and when the sun is down, you can turn on the LED interior lighting. The Congoleum wood grain flooring creates a warm, residential feel, along with the Mortise and Tenon Walnut cabinetry. If you plan on travelling in areas with extreme temperatures, you can request air conditioning for an extra price.

The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to whip up a delicious home cooked meal. There’s a double bowl sink, perfect for rinsing veggies and washing dishes; a pantry that can also be used as a wardrobe; and residential appliances including a microwave, refrigerator and three-burner range. With cabinetry located above and below the kitchen sink, there is ample room to store your pots, pans and spices. When dinner is ready, you can serve it at the comfy (40” by 62”) dinette, located beside a large panoramic window.

Believe it or not, the HS-2902 truck camper comes with a small washroom. This is great news if you hate taking washroom breaks at gas stations. The washroom is simple: it comes with a sink and toilet.

When you’re ready to go to sleep, you can crawl on top of your large mattress. Both sides of the mattress have a nightstand and chest. To the left there is a closet for your clothes and to the right there is an entertainment center, equipped with a television. With the warm breeze coming in through the window, you’re guaranteed to have a good night’s sleep.

The Palomino Backpack Edition HS-2902 sells for around $22,000. For more information visit: http://www.palominorv.com/.
